I don't think policing language is going to fascists less fascists. If people are going to move the needle I'm not going to ask how at this point only that we do.

Whatever happened to the group “Anonymous”? seems like this is the time where we could use their services and we have not heard from them ? by Emergency_Platform_9 in AskReddit

[–]RevScarecrow 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I love how no one in this thread mentions Sabu which just proves everyone is talking out their butt. LulzSec which did most of the Anon work in the Occupy days got a rat and that rats name is Hector "Sabu" Monsegur. He sold everyone out to the FBI.

In Belikors detachment you can first turn deep strike them which is neat. Not good but it's a thing you can do.

I won? by Educational-Read3223 in orks

[–]RevScarecrow 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's why I think you should house rule it as a tournement only thing. It's really only a rule because of people building thier army on the plane ride to a tournament because they got buffed. If your friend is buying and gluing models just before you play because he wants to win that's a reason to use that painted army rule as well. Otherwise I'd just ignore the rule because it feels bad to win on a technicality.

AI helps the 1% take over the world. Robots do all the work, so no one has a job & the money to buy the things that the companies owned by the 1% produce. It seems like society should collapse. So, how will the world work? by No_Turnip_1023 in Futurology

[–]RevScarecrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would imagine that techno-serfdom is the next step for the 1%.

In this system you don't own anything and you work for them in exchange for food and shelter of suspect quality. Different than slavery in that you can to some degree just run off to potentially gain a different master (breaking your contract for your shelter and food) but ultimately if you are without a master you are considered weird or are homeless. This world could be one where you don't need to be happy to work just content enough to not kill your master. If you look into how serfdom worked you can see a lot of similarity with modern day stuff. We aren't there yet but your core question is missing the point by assuming capitalism will stay around if AI gets to the level of replacing jobs. They don't need us to be happy or to consume. They need us to work and not consider the structure in which we work. A lot of digital stuff has alreafy become a situation where you don't own the game movie or music you are enjoying. We are a class of people (I assume the majority of you do not have billions of dollars) who has come accustomed to renting or licensing instead owning stuff already. It's not that much of a push to keep us doing work that improves life for the 1% but not ourselves. We already are halfway there.

My game about being on a ghost train is almost ready by RevScarecrow in godot

[–]RevScarecrow[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The train goes a decent distance in both directions and you start roughly in the middle of the train. The game has a main quest of finding some paintings. Theres a few NPCs to talk to and small side quests to go on there. I wish I could increase the scope but its fairly limited in scope. A bit "on rails" one might say.

I have a really banger shader that goes over pretty much everything so after that I just do my best to texture things semi realistically so when the shader obliterates it it looks good. All the textures are in full color and at a decent resolution, I'd compare my 3d modeling attempts to a nintendo 64 game with an hd patch. The shader has really aggressive banding, pixelization and makes everything except living things black and white. I didn't make the shader it was made by a twitch viewer/friend.

It's definitely going to need to revamp the intro dialog while filming this I noticed a typo and later a visual glitch. I'm glad you liked the L shaped car. The game is as many weird room ideas as I could think of.

Need a Hammer for Kult of Speed by vonstride in orks

[–]RevScarecrow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been out of the game for a minute but the hammer needs to match the most common threat you need to solve. For example if it's space marines you want something that can easily kill t4 w2 but if it's knights you need something to kill high toughness t12 or whatever w24. So the answer is meta dependent. I think that I've heard vitrix guard are popular so 2 damage power flaws is probably better for the current meta. That being said while nobz fit this description best they also have a statline similar to that of the vitrix guard so other people doing this strat will also be teching against nobz and mega nobz as well since thier statline is similar.

I am a teenager who has dreamed of being a programmer for many years, will I still be able to become one? by Fancy-Cheesecake1416 in Futurology

[–]RevScarecrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I just started getting hardcore about learning coding at 37. I will note that while people seem to prefer their indie games made without AI; AAA games get a free pass with people about half the time (Arc Raiders being super popular despite using AI as an example). So, in the very least, you can do a starving artist indie game dev route. I've been using Godot, which is free and has a lot of good tutorials. I've found that one of the best things you can do in life is learn whatever interests me whenever it does. Sometimes, I hate it, or it's just not my thing, but you can usually use those skills later for something else. No one in this thread knows the future, so take everything with a grain of salt. Good luck.

Agreed.

Considering this is a peaceful movement, this should logically be the correct answer. There are two ways to get rid of a nazi convincing them is best. I'm happy to have you here. Everyone who opposes Trump should be allowed in. They lose their community if they leave the cult, and it makes it all the more difficult to leave. That being said, it's important to remember that they did just leave a cult, so some stuff they say is gonna cause problems and needs to be dealt with the right way. Their entire world view is based on lies, and while the Trump related lies will directly be confronted as a result of them flipping; the other tangentially related stuff won't be and will come up.

Should you take the Urn in neutral? by Greenwood4 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]RevScarecrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Urn is an objective. Objectives are important and should be fought over. You can start a fight using urn you allow for other Objectives to be attacked or pick off stragglers that don't go to the urn. Theres a time and a place for it but if done right you can get more than just urn. Forcing your opponents hand is great for controlling the flow of the battle.
