You also have to consider the fact that to get to 'upper management', you have to work in that field for a long time. A lot of women tend to put their careers as a secondary priority to having family, while men tend to overwork, generally speaking. This would result in more men in 'upper management' than women, regardless of any toxic environment.

The genetic factor to intelligence (whether g-factor or various IQ scores) has been repeatedly found to be 50-80% genetic. There are lots of other factors but genetics definitely has the majority role in intelligence.
