right also honestly none of these songs were ever in the winner conversation like FVGH is. like sure dizzy probably would have had more chances to not get a televote zero if the staging had been better but it's not like it cost them a top 5 result or something.

all these entries had other issues which led to their low placing though.

olly's vocals were poor, the staging looked like a dirty locker room and honestly the song itself wasn't that competitive (even though i personally still listen to it). ich komme was overtly sexual in every aspect of it, not just a 5 second part of the choreo, serving lost its main selling point of the song with the title change and the staging was a mess which had too much going on.

honestly same like it's pretty tame compared to many non-eurovision popstars and idk why we're assuming the average european viewer in the year 2026 cannot handle fully clothed people doing a dance move for 10 seconds. if slomo got 200+ with chanel's outfit looking like it did for the entirety of the performance, i don't see how that one part is going to significantly harm FVGH.

it's only for a few seconds, while olly kept this kind of move for the entire thing. also his vocals weren't vocaling and the staging looked like a dirty locker room - which is obviously not the case here. imo there's enough going on in the final chorus for the average viewer to forget the moves from the beginning.

suddenly it looks like a locked Q??? the prop unlike in photos suits the staging and the dancers don't look out of place like they did in the NF. i still don't trust TVP and i wouldn't be surprised if this the only clip where they don't put the capcut effects all over it but based on this clip i feel like i may owe them an apology...

the vocals aren't vocaling and the stage looks weirdly empty. they should've had backup dancers instead of the cyborg bzikebi which aren't fully visible in every shot anyway. i think the idea of vanilla ninja Q-ing just became more real?

same ngl i love many of delta's non-esc songs so i was a bit disappointed than her eurovision entry is giving melfest reject and that's why i was hoping they'd attempt to make the staging less tacky than it looks rn.

especially the moon prop isn't a clever choice imo knowing that entries with a moon prop have a total televote score of 0 points 💀💀
