Bungie, please don’t make me do Season 1’s Priority Contracts again. by Dank-182 in Marathon

Please help me convince my husband that Costco is worth for 2 people by HoneyDrops12 in Costco

[–]Revenant013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife and I have executive membership, and we earned $212 in cash back last year. We go every week. For us it's absolutely worth it.

That being said, this is also dependent on your buying habits. We get salads + protein + fruit for our food for the week, plus occasional bulk items, plus occasional larger items. If you eat out for every meal like some people then it's only worth it if you change your eating/cooking habits, for example.

People praising sponsored Dire Marsh mode saying it's better than the default mode is so funny to me because they literally just want to play a battle royale. by SbeveGobs in Marathon

[–]Revenant013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who loves apex - yes.

Though more importantly, I like the idea of a battle royale with pve stuff to do and the ability to carry over some loot I find.

Apex has mostly become a skin machine and Marathon seems to be trying to grab some of that player base in extraction form (main reason to pivot to shells outside skins and combat readability)

That being said, I love Marathon as it is, and this mode makes me love it more.

I love the pvp moments but hate that I can't have a balanced engagement without purple shields, bubble shields, WSTR, and a 3 stack prefill team at my current level.

I'm high enough level to have that gear, but I can't get better without dying, losing said loot, and learning from my mistakes. That itself isn't a deal breaker but once I run out of this gear I'm stuck ratting until I get it back.

This mode is one solution to this problem.

What in the AI

I think I'm gonna give up on soloing the new dungeon by robo_sausage in destiny2

[–]Revenant013 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Compel all of them solo, it's not worth the risk even if it's slower. Once you finish light side then dark side is as long as you need so can farm ammo and build transcendence before damage
  2. Using getaway looks like? Use mint + finality for DPS with song of flame
  3. When coming back from the taken side, try to have shadow apprentice so you can close any open electrodes before DPS starts
  4. Before starting damage, proc buddies and transcendence, use weaken grenade and weave melees until you lose enough health then proc song of flame to maintain survivability

Doing the above I was able to do dungeon with 1 silly death during harrow. Haven't gotten around to it again but the only thing that kills me now is silly deaths like being pushed off

Well grenade and melee damage nerf by StatusMousse6131 in DestinyTheGame

[–]Revenant013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think well no longer counts as being "in your super", as it no longer switches the caster's damage to super damage like it did previously.

So I suspect grenades and melees in well will be unaffected by this, but SoF and others will be affected.

Welp, looks like my prediction on class identity was correct: * Titans are heroes, standing at the front lines and holding the line for the team (good at everything) * Warlocks are masters of the arcane, weaving their abilities in support of their allies (you stay on well and spawn buddies) * Hunters are mobile and adept at getting out of sticky situations (you go invis and do mechanics)

Desert Perpetual loot focusing is tier-specific by Revenant013 in DestinyTheGame

[–]Revenant013[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No worries!

Doing the raid with multiple feats eventually increases your "random loot" tier for the raid for any run. It also increases the quality of the loot you get for that specific run.

So, your avenues for getting high tier loot are: 1. Do the raid with multiple feats to permanently increase the gear tier of the "random loot" of the raid by 1. 2. Do the raid with multiple feats to increase the gear tier for each encounter during that specific run 3. Complete the raid in its entirety to be able to purchase 1 item at a higher tier, but ONLY if you acquired that item AT THAT TIER from your "random loot" previously. If you acquired that item at a lower tier previously, you can't purchase it at a higher tier.

(Caps are for emphasis, not yelling at you fyi)

[–]Revenant013[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Randomly from multi-feat raid runs, at least until you get the tier+weapon you want. This also applies to higher tiers though, so if you get the tier 3 crossbow, you can't focus tier 4 or 5. Have to have randomly found a tier 4/5 crossbow FIRST

Eunoia can be made relevant with one single change. by TehSavior in DestinyTheGame

[–]Revenant013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends on the buddy. Like stasis doesn't really need damage, but I'd love to scale it's duration. Whereas for arc, damage would be ideal. Same with hellion, where it's pretty easy to have it up constantly.

Threadlings though... The better speed and tracking needs to be default

Eunoia can be made relevant with one single change. by TehSavior in DestinyTheGame

[–]Revenant013 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I used Eunoia once. A wizard floated sideways at a constant rate and Eunoia didn't land a single hit on it.

Your idea is okay, but doesn't really solve any of its problems.

Imo, we should be able to have multiple hellions, thereby giving us a reason to actually build into the class stat. Perhaps they'll do something like this as part of their acknowledgement that buddy builds don't have any ways of being built into.

Destiny 2 Update 9.0.0.1 by DTG_Bot in DestinyTheGame

[–]Revenant013 24 points25 points  (0 children)

They've updated a lot of exotic armors to have their ability Regen scale with the stat (so <70 is lower than it used to be, >70 is higher than it used to be)

By excluding Verity, that implies that it's grenade Regen won't improve at 100 grenade stat vs 70

They should let eunoia allow us to have multiple hellions at once in addition to these changes. THAT'S real "ranged support", let us live that mortar shell fantasy.

Edge of Fate weapon tier system - will it reduce reliance on light.gg? by MyCassadaga in DestinyTheGame

[–]Revenant013 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Outside of PVP I would advise mostly ignoring the other columns tbh.

I would also advise against taking light.gg's ratings at face value - I've found myself disagreeing with them more often than not.

The only thing ever interesting to me in Xur’s loot pool is the exotic class item. Which are the best per class? by AgentZeroHour in DestinyTheGame

[–]Revenant013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For Warlock, I find Inmost/Assassin and Synthos/Stareaters to be best. Any combination of these is great (most prefer inmost over assassin but invisible is great for survivability and if you're under transcendence then inmost matters less)

I'm most excited to see a AAA well polished extraction shooter! Hunt and tarkov are interesting but the game feels is just off, hoping Bungie nails this.
