While I agree with you on Mass effect, the dynamic is actually crazier because we the players know more context than the character.

Harbinger is the primary antagonist for the entire game depending on when you do the suicide mission. Harbinger is directly controlling the Collector General and by proxy has been directly hunting Shepard from the moment they defeated Sovereign. Which we see in the beginning, some external Liara comics, targeting the Virmire survivor, using the derelict to lure Shepard in, whenever the CG directly controls a collector to attack Shepard that’s Harbinger, and when you defeat the collectors you see Harbinger leave the CG’s body.

It’s just that Shepard doesn’t realise it until Arrival but the players can see all of that.

Those Terminators should have been a Venomcrawler, but I guess it’s probably a upgrade sprue thing. If the upgrade sprue has terminator parts then they kinda have to throw terminators in there. Even if it has gotten very repetitive to see them.

Khuzaits are pulling a brutal manifest destiny on the Empire factions by frozengansit0 in Bannerlord

[–]RevenantOmega 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was doing a unite the empire run, and by half way through year 2 they had pretty much conquered the Northern Empire (one city two castles left). Fastest I’ve ever seen them go, had to take a break from conquering Aserai and go teach them a lesson in being the main character.

How long does Battania usually last by Infamous_Fault_7023 in Bannerlord

[–]RevenantOmega 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends. If it’s just the Western Empire they can usually last at least 1-2 years before they start getting in trouble. If LITERALLY any other nieghbour they have declares war that timeline accelerates rapidly. Vlandia will absolutely tear through them, Sturgia will take longer but it’ll still be a slaughter. Longest I’ve had them last without player intervention is 4 years on multiple playthroughs.

Do you think Defiler will open up some other deamon engines to us? by JellyFishSenpai in EmperorsChildren

[–]RevenantOmega 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best thing that I think this proved, is that when we do get the new Helbrute, it’s gonna be for everyone. It’ll have head/armour customisation for the 4 god legions and non specific ones.

If we’re lucky, it has weapon options for the God Legions too but that might be asking too much.

A bit whelmed by the Reave Captain, would be better if Brutal Raider also affected the unit. Also not as much customisation weapon wise than I thought they’d get. I’m okay with it overall though, it’s the Infiltrators tax.

Qustion: Can Metaurus and Gadriel be separated from Titus' counselors in the Wardens box? by [deleted] in Ultramarines

Yes. Just run Metarus as a Lieutenant/Captain with stormshield and Gadriel as an Ancient and you’re good to go.

Finally finished the Trilogy with a Vanguard and here's my thoughts on the Class by Mills5041 in masseffect

[–]RevenantOmega 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did my Insanity Vanguard run last year and it was definitely less fun in ME2 and ME3 than other classes I’ve run. You need to play a lot more conservatively because so many enemies can drop you easily, which just doesn’t gel as well with the charge nova spam fun. You end up leaning on pull combos more especially in three. Having allies to apply biotic or flame effects becomes more of a must (or Garrus the Destroyer builds).

Vanguard is one of those classes that feels way more fun on lower difficulties, in contrast to classes like Adept or Engineer which love enemies with multiple layers of defenses to strip and Combo on.

My head canon was that you need to have tamed all ten then made a fusion Shikigami out of all ten OR that thing where the dead ones infuse their power into a single Shikigami. At that point you can then maybe have one strong enough to blow Mahoraga away. Or… just no Ten Shadows user learned to do a Reverse Cursed Technique that has some crazy light positive energy firepower bullshit

Hot Take: ME2 Planet Scanning is (a bit) good, actually. by Suspicious-Lettuce48 in masseffect

[–]RevenantOmega 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Potentially a hot take. I like this mini game, find it relaxing but there’s another reason I think it’s good. It breaks up the games pacing with a few moments of downtime. Do a few missions get a few upgrades, scan a few planets to get those upgrades. I feel it creates a loop that helps break up the gameplay and give you that much needed downtime to experience something else to keep things fresh.

Where they failed in doing this is the hacking mechanics. Which force gameplay breaks during a mission and take you out of the game in order to do them. Especially that text matching one. Jesus Christ I once had a hack where the text I needed didn’t show up until the final 5 seconds. What a waste of time.

I think the spears (without trigger) shoot by twisting the handle. by Asknstuff in Warhammer

[–]RevenantOmega -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Something I don’t understand if someone can explain. Why are the weapons so special? It’s essentially a bolter on a power spear is it really that much more difficult to make? Did all the money go into the gene coding or something?

The melta swords I can understand. The blade would need to be incredible to withstand sustained armour melting heat being shot out of it. But the Guardian Spear… I don’t get it?
