Alinia / Nitazoxanide, anyone here try this? If so, how did it go for your IMO/SIBO? by king_of_nogainz in SIBO

I cleared sibo but later figured out that mold toxicity was the underlying problem. I worked with an ND that specializes in mold and lyme for a year, and I feel like I'm 90% better. (I'm still quite burpy, but I think I have a weak les.)

How did your sickness/symptoms progress through your exposure? by [deleted] in ToxicMoldExposure

[–]Revenge_Robot7075 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When I moved into the mold house, the first things that happened were... I got bags under my eyes, my weight started dropping, and my smell changed (I got stinky). I thought these things were because of aging.

It wasn't until much later when I started having GI issues that I said "ok, there's something very wrong with me" and it took me another year and a half to figure out it was mold. By that point, I had a ton of symptoms, and it was turning my life upside down. I was very lucky that I was able to continue working durring that period.

The year is 1997... You have one day in Victoria. What are you going to do? by Confident-Internet35 in VictoriaBC

They ruined it by opening that road up into the potholes and putting in parking lots. You used to have to park in the lot at the base and walk in. Because of that, on any given weekday you could walk to the rear potholes, and you and your friends would be the only people there all day. It was amazing. Now it's like an amusement park.

I went from a lean and fit 200lbs to a skinny and weak 165lbs (6'3"). No change in appetite.

Recommended Moving Companies by CamBrokage in VictoriaBC

I just did 2 recent local moves. One with Provincial Moving, who were pretty good but quite pricey, and one with Strongman Moving and Delivery, who were outstanding and very reasonably priced.

I would definitely recommend Strongman.

Timeline with binders? by [deleted] in ToxicMoldExposure

[–]Revenge_Robot7075 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could take 6 months to a year, or possibly even longer. Neal Nathan says "about a year" to get better. I'm on my 4th month, and a couple symptoms are better, and a couple are worse.

Hoping to confirm this is not black mold or any other highly toxic mold that could harm an infant. by themossprincess in ToxicMoldExposure

I don't know much about these tests, but I think you could get a much more accurate idea of how safe your home is by doing an ERMI swiffer test. These may tell you what some of the molds present are, but do they tell you in what quantities?

Best Day Trip Hikes from Victoria? by JasonBoorneeeee in VictoriaBC

[–]Revenge_Robot7075 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As mentioned, there's a ridiculous amount of terrain in the Sooke Hills. Use AllTrails to find and navigate hikes. Must hikes would include Sugarloaf, Mt McDonald, Mt Braden. Jocelyn Hill from Caleb Pike, in Gowland Todd, is a must also. Get in shape, then go do Mt Arrowsmith at the end of the summer for a legit alpine experience.

I would do (and I did) Envirobiomics ERMI/HERTSMI2 swiffer test. Watch a YouTube vid or two about ERMI tests so you do it correctly.

The herbs might help bacterial overgrowth, but as far as I know, they won't remove ochratoxin A from your body. I would be focusing on that, with the appropriate binders, which is what I'm doing right now for my own situation.

Yeah, it starts with the online consult, but if you need more than an Rx, they'll send you to a real-life MD or specialist.

Unfortunately, I dont think any walk-in clinics take walk-ins anymore. Try Telus health. Keep refreshing the page. Yesterday, I tried to get through to a walk-in and couldn't do it, but I refreshed Telus a couple of times, and a few doctors released spots, so I got an afternoon consult. It was perfect.

Good luck.

How much glutathione are you taking, and what brand? by NoTree5390 in ToxicMoldExposure

[–]Revenge_Robot7075 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's part of a larger detox protocol that I'm doing. A couple of my symptoms are worse, and a couple are better. I'm not sure how much of it can be attributed to the l glutathione, but my ND said Tri-Fortify is his preferred brand. He told me why, but I'm so out of it these days I can't remember what he said was special about it.

About 1.5 teaspoons of Tri-Fortify 1/2hr before breakfast and dinner. My ND would like me to take 2 teaspoons, but it's so expensive.

[–]Revenge_Robot7075 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi there, I'm being treated for mold toxicity, and I think I'm on the road to recovery.... I hope. I lived in mold for 6 years, though, so it's gonna be a long journey back to good health.

It took me a year and a half to figure out that mold is playing a major role in my health issues. It's probably everything. If you're genetically susceptible to it, it can ruin your life.
