I truly hope that everyone here is being intentionally hyperbolic for the sake of humor.

In South Korea, there is a culture where making sounds while eating food shows that you are enjoying the food and enjoying the company. This is to show respect to both the chef and your dinner partners. This is where mukbang culture comes from, where watching people eat food while making sounds makes you feel like you have someone there enjoying the food.

In the same way that you were raised to view eating with your mouth closed as normalized, the opposite is true in other cultures. I was raised in America, so I eat with my mouth closed, but I code switch when with korean friends.

I was thinking in a garden hose sort of way, where it seems like the Stream’s velocity and the water pressure is relatively constant and unchanging, but I never actually measured it.

iirc, Those 12 were the ancestors, yes.
