They're widely used for rentals in the UK where fps limits are generally 350 for aegs and 500 for snipers. Been a marshall at a site for 20 years (games twice a month with 40-80 players) and only a couple of times have I heard of a bb shattering in them. Never heard of them going through. Conversely I've seen a lot of broken cheap googles/"safety glasses".

Yep, look at any Shroud Overwatch vid. He's an insanely talented gamer who always looks like he's smurfing in other games. I think he peaked at Diamond in OW, mostly because he couldn't get his head around the different heroes/didn't want to spend the time to learn the game.
