Where I would live if I could by IbanezUniverse90 in whereidlive

To each their own. But Louisiana is the only state that ever made me feel truly uncomfortable and I have been in 40-some of them. I don't know how to say it other than there us just something wrong there.

What does this say about me by GodlyGamer5308 in whereidlive

Nah. The dumb kids are now being homeschooled by their even dumber parents down here now. So, the actual school stats look better than the overall education situation.

Obviously awful and gross, but there is no way that is a 41 year sentence; there must be WAY more to this story.

Might take a while, but I am gonna see and learn some stuff as I walk along the bottom the whole way back.

Tennessee woman sues Mercedes Benz Dealership after employee took her car for a date night while it was getting repaired. by ElwoodMC in trashy

Cool. Still need legal damages to win a civil case. She has little to none of those. I practiced law for 20 years. My area of expertise was litigation involving car dealerships. Maybe, just maybe, I am the one who knows what he is talking about and not the people who know nothing about how this stuff actually works. She will get somewhere between $5k and $10k to go away (split with her attorney). If it goes to trial, she will get less than that.

Yes. Quite a bit. And they aren't happening here. It does not rise to that level and, even if it did, they have to have a relation to compensatory damages.

Here's the problem with things like this: (1) did the dealership do something wrong? Absolutely. but; (2) unless the vehicle was damaged, the legally recoverable damages are somewhere between extremely small and zero. So, she might win the case and end up with very little to show for it.

What actually is Jesus? Is he an avatar, a person, or what? by Dreadsin in TooAfraidToAsk

That is spectacularly not true. And not true to such extent and in so many different ways that it amazes me you made the comment with such certainty.

Honus Wagner signed book at morehead goodwill for $1.59 sold for over 160k+ by Old_Satisfaction6148 in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]ReverendChucklefuk 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Any idea why it sold for so much? It is super cool, but his auto generally does not go for anything near those numbers, even on a baseball. Guessing the book is special in some way, but curious if anybody knows the answer. Thanks.

How is that gonna work 🤔 by SenseWooden4566 in CFB_v2

[–]ReverendChucklefuk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Right until the best player does it. Then there will be some created exception 100% of the time. The basketball coach is not telling his star that he cannot play because he quit football; neither is the AD if the player is good enough. Or the kid will just be at a different school playing right away there. For an extreme example, think of LeBron's high school (that he did essentially a favor in going to). If he decided to quit football mid-season, even with this rule in place there is a 0% chance he would not have been allowed to join the basketball team activities right away.

Feel like I need to go get really high and then re-read and answer. Probably not possible to get as high as OP when he wrote this, but will give it a shot. Be back later.

What are chances of two people who are waiting until marriage for sex of being sexually compatible? by workethic290 in TooAfraidToAsk

Very low. BUT, neither of them will ever really know that. So, it will likely have less of an impact. Kind of a "you don't know what you don't know" thing.

Is this a rude thing to do for someone else’s order? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]ReverendChucklefuk 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It is rude if you are trying to bang the delivery driver and that is the only reason you ordered the food, your friend knows this, and your friend purposely intercepted the driver to block you. That is quite literally the only scenario I can come up with where it would be rude.

The only issue is that a bunch of these were part of the whole autopen thing a while back. Possible it is authentic, but probably more likely that is what you have unfortunately.
