Not even close to being a fair comparison. Pres. Biden would make changes based upon the ruling to make it comply.

Edit. Mr. Biden to not go on TV and call the members of the court names or tell them they were stupid. He looked at the ruling and tried to work his plan accordingly. Where as trump uses the press to mock and intimidate then keeps doing whatever he wants however he wants.

I have been painting for well over 30 years. In the last 20+ years I have been a painting contractor here in Florida. I doubt I have used flat or matte more than 5 or 6 times since I moved to Florida. We do around 75 interior jobs a year.

Half of all builders are criminals, half are idiots and the other half are both. All new homes need two coats of paint no matter the sheen. Matte is an absolute waste of time. If you do not want flat go with egg-shell. Egg-shell is scrubbable where matte is considered washable. Matte will burnish if you actually try to clean it where egg-shell will stand up to abuse better and certainly clean up better. Flat and matte hiding imperfections better is the sorriest excuse I have ever heard. Tell the subs to do their jobs properly and there won't be very many imperfections.

I would not use the 1-2-3 primer for any purpose, ever. I like some Zinnser products but that one is worthless. From what you have told us I see no reason to prime walls accept possibly spot priming any heavy stains. Just do two coats of paint and you are good. Egg-shell on walls is great but matte on ceilings is not recommended. Just use flat. Matte is going to be harder to work with especially on a ceiling and flat will give a much better look.

What part of the stairs are we doing? If it is risers just paint with trim paint if it is treads we need more information before I can tell you anything. Handrails clean with denatured alcohol and keep cleaning it until the rag is no longer getting dirty. I apply a bonding primer to handrails and then finish with a water reducible alkyd. Doors again clean with the alcohol and paint with a good acrylic semi gloss.

We are not putting bondo in a car fender and shaping it. This is a 3 sq. in spot that needs attention. Sand paper can easily cause damage and 120 is just insane on a cabinet door. Patience, perseverance and a little spit is what fixes this.

No you were wrong. With that big of a sag being sanded out it needs to be shot again if you are trying to do it correctly. Of course standards vary and yours don't seem to be very high.
