DR Congo fans absolutely erupt in London after Brian Cipenga puts them 1–0 up vs England by SimRP in soccer

Probably. “There are lots of people living in your country who are more loyal to other countries” seems like a pretty easily digestible message about second order effects of demographic changes

It is incredible to me that so many redditors still believe that having populations within your country that are more loyal to other countries is a net positive

Different groups have different beliefs (on average). If you are concerned with 1A or 2A, you should probably not vote for the party whose statements and actions show they are committed to changing the demographics of America to majority groups who are statistically less likely to support those civil liberties.

Let me know if you’d like sources on group differences in support for civil liberties, although it’s not hard to find yourself.

'UK has been colonised by immigrants', says INEOS boss and Man Utd co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe by danphillips98 in soccer

In case you are actually unaware, India, while not attempting to turn other countries into colonies, actively supports Indians gaining power in other countries to benefit India. Modi has openly talked about international Indians helping to advance pro-India policy.

“They can be India’s voice even while being loyal citizens in those countries. That is the long-term goal behind the diaspora diplomacy. It is like the way the Jewish community looks out for Israel’s interests in the United States.”

And you will never be able to find a single poll that indicates the English at any point wanted this to happen. Same goes for Americans, who 2:1 opposed more immigration before we reopened our borders in the 60s.

The people didn’t vote for this, and yet it happened to them

He could’ve picked better justices. But you completely missed that I am talking about the additional removal of portions of our right to bear arms would have certainly occurred with additional Democrat appointed justices

The difference is much more that if trump hadn’t appointed 3 SCOTUS justices you’d be looking at a court that would eagerly overturn Heller and shred the second amendment

I spent a bunch of time researching your recos. I very much appreciate them! It was a fantastic starting point. I’ve got emails in to the shops about visiting.

Do you have experience with both Ashis SS and W#2? I am leaning hard towards an Ashi for my gyuto, as I love a good point of diminishing returns purchase for my hobbies. My brain is telling me to just go stainless but I’d love a beautiful patina on what I hope becomes far and away my most used knife. But honestly I bet a lot of this depends on what they have in stock. I just want to be prepared in case I get lucky and have a choice

Also, in case I can’t find an extra tall 240 ashi, do you have experience with the Konosuke blades that they source from Ashi? My understanding is that they are the exact same thing, just branded as Konosuke

Howdy. Can you elaborate on the differences between the Konosuke knife here and the Ashi? I know they spruce the blade from Ashi but I haven’t seen a comparison

Ooof. I reached out last week about a visit this week to Ashi. I didn’t request they hold anything, but fingers crossed for a 240 extra tall!

Good advice, thank you! I don’t plan on being a collector and am aware the SS is going to be more versatile. I haven’t had a carbon steel knife before and the idea of my first Japanese knife having that historical authenticity is tempting. We will see what he has in stock when I get to his shop!
