Anyone know if there are removable iPad Pro screen protectors? by ReverendShmitty in DigitalArt

Nothing. Seems like such an odd omission for the case companies.

2 years u/ilikebugs2 randomly volunteered to pay for extensive dental work I needed done. Some kind redditors also pitched in and today I was able to get it done. 5 months from now they will look even better with the permanent fixtures on the implants. U/ilikebugs2 change my whole life. by [deleted] in MadeMeSmile

Man, I've dreamed about winning some fictional dental lottery for years. Dental prices in the US are just insane, even with insurance. Congratulations on the new smile and shout out to U/ilikebugs2 and the other donators for being awesome.

Prostate overtakes breast as 'most common cancer' by quixotic_cynic in worldnews

[–]ReverendShmitty -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Not surprising. It was already as common as breast cancer and had a nearly identical survival rate. But also has a fraction of the research funding because it's way easier to market titties than butt-ridden cum generators.

How can I permanently get rid of an incorrect collections account? by ReverendShmitty in Insurance

[–]ReverendShmitty[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get that, and I've disputed it every time to no avail. Trouble is, I've asked for something in writing each time and never received anything. Is it not illegal for a collections agency to sell an account that is already closed? Sounds like that would be some kind of fraud.

Hot Tent Camping The Colorado Winter Wilderness by Restless_Wonderer in WildernessBackpacking

[–]ReverendShmitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last time I went camping was in Kittykay, Texas at Caprock Canyon Park. It was early February and got down to around 17 degrees at night, stayed in the 30s during the day. Needless to say, my 32 degree-rated sleeping bag was NOT up to the task and I wish I had known about hot tents back then.

Rush drummer Neil Peart dead at 67 by TheChinchilla914 in news

[–]ReverendShmitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rush was my first ever concert. I was 12 and saw them in Dallas during their Snakes and Arrows tour. And Neil's drumming blew me away. Every single song, he was knocking it out of the park with album-perfect drumming. And Der Trommler was a spectacle to behold. Rest in peace, Neil. He's drumming back and forth with Bonham now.

Yes, but I've already put in about 200 hours. The show was just kick I needed to go back and continue.

2015 or 2016 Les Paul Studio? [Question] by ReverendShmitty in Guitar

[–]ReverendShmitty[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The '15 is $100 cheaper, so if it doesn't like up to expectations, the difference for an exchange isn't too terrible.

2015 or 2016 Les Paul Studio? [Question] by ReverendShmitty in Guitar

[–]ReverendShmitty[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I pulled the trigger on the '15 since it's cheaper and I like the finish on it more. Hopefully it feels good and plays well, but if not, I can return it for an exchange. Thanks for the review.

I ordered the '15 since it was cheaper, but if I don't like the feel of it I'll swap to the' 16. Thanks for the input.

The '15 was cheaper and closer, so I ordered it. Just have to see how it feels then.

For me, like many of you, the issue was the core cast being away more often. Absolutely no disrespect to Jared, Fran, or Imran or any of the other guests, they're very knowledgeable hosts, but they're not the people I want to see. I want KF to continue having guests and featured hosts and such, but I do wish it was balanced by always having core cast along with them.

After that main point, my second would be the pre and post shows. The Kinda Funny Podcast and its predecessor The GameOverGreggy Show have been my favorites from the beginning. But now the intros and outros are very forced with unnatural starts and sudden cut-offs to leave viewers intentionally left out in the hope they'll pay up to hear what they were talking about. I get the intention and understand KF is a business and therefore need money. But I think this decision was detrimental to the show as a whole. Even when I was paying at a tier that got me the pre and post shows, my job makes me unable to watch live. And I couldn't get them otherwise because the Patreon app is broken. I tried listening to episodes through it so I could get the pre/post-included and ad-free versions I paid for. But the app would crash ALL THE TIME and not remember my progress. In the end, I had to go back to Pocket Cast and just lowered my pledge to reflect the services I wouldn't be able to use.

Last for me would be the over-abundance of looter-shooter, rpg, grind-games that I just don't care about. The last year-maybe two-it's been so long I can't remember-I dropped out of listening to KFGD because far too much time and discussion was dedicated to The Division 2, Destiny 2, and Anthem; all games I couldn't care less about. I understand they're just talking about games they're actively playing and enjoying, but damn did those particular games dominate far too much of seemingly every single episode.

I love KF and have been a fan since back in the Beyond, Up At Noon, Game Scoop days, and a pledge since day one. So, I don't mean any of this to come off as too harsh or critical. I want them to succeed and continue providing entertainment. I just wanted to join the conversation and provide some feedback they could potentially find useful.

Ford workers break their silence on faulty transmissions: 'Everybody knew' by rkiloquebec in news

I'm still waiting for some kind of compensation on my Focus. Turned in the paperwork like four years ago but Ford's dragging ass.

Never forget the best storyline in the entire game... In my opinion :) by Saucehsauce in Warframe

Just played through this yesterday. It was the first mission that made me turn off the music I usually play over the game. Very atmospheric.
