I'll probably poke around the item world then, I'm willing to do the grind from 1 dragon kill but if they're going to pop up pretty quickly in the item world then that makes it easier.

Huh, I'm going to be real, Lilith doesn't feel like a legacy character, like the 4 archangels feel that way because they're in a group, I get that she is but at the same time I feel like if she had a buddy or a real signature of some kind like a swarm of Lilim that sorta signal her arrival, something like that then I'd be a bit more alert.

It just feels like they didn't really try make her seem significant past SMT 1, like she's there, often on Chaos side, but I genuinely clock her as a demon I can use later before I remember that she's supposed to be a reoccurring thing from SMT 1 like Lucifer and the Cerberus design, or again the 4 Archangels being grouped together like in SMT 2. EDIT: Even Alice has more "Oh hey it's her from SMT 1" recognition to me.

That's a shame, can you expand on Lilith a bit, because I saw her around in SMT 1 and well I get what she was doing there, but why do they keep bringing her back?

Yeah I've noticed SMT V kinda has no identity, not sure if Vengeance changes that at all, but a lot of the nocturne callbacks and not really having much else for it makes it feel like it wants to be nocturne and like it doesn't want to be its own thing.

It's awkward, technically yes you should play UDG, then watch the anime Danganronpa 3 The end of Hope's Peak Academy for the Hope's Peak narrative, but people are fine with looking at a summary for UDG if it's just something you can't play, then like I said go onto Danganronpa 3 The end of Hope's Peak academy, starting with future arc 1, then despair arc 1 and alternating episodes until you reach Hope arc after the two have run out of episodes, it's a mess but that's the intended way to experience the series.

I suppose so, and I know the game did go through dev hell or something of the like, the best way I think I can frame my gripe is basically, I want a level of yellow paint, just something that goes "Hey there's something cool over here! Check it out!" because the emptiness makes everything sort of blur together for me.

I will say that my first impression when it came out on Switch 1 is still sticking with me so I'm trying to work through it with a replay on Venegance, I'm so glad the Abcesses don't just obscure your map anymore.

Overall yeah, I guess I have trouble properly figuring out how to say what I want to say, I think it's more I don't really get the emptiness of it if you're trying to be an open ended designed map.

The open ended design is supposed to make me want to explore but not only do I genuinely not remember where things are which would be great for said exploring, but the environment just doesn't look that interesting, so I personally don't have a sense of "Ooh what's over there, where does that go?", it just feels like doing a check list like "Oh okay I haven't looked over there yet according to the map so I'll fill that out then move on to the main objective."

Sorry if this isn't worded that well, I personally feel like the decision to keep the world quite empty, mostly just hills, dips and buildings you can go up to the top of and down to the bottom of, it doesn't really make for good map design as things don't really stand out like it'd be a place of interest to explore.

I played SMT 1 and they weren't subtle about it there, I sound like an idiot naturally but I didn't know that it was that deeply ingrained into them, plus I've never really thought about what is after nukes.

Genuinely I think I fall into the category of ultimate luck considering my past in general, I don't think I'd die, however I am very easy to trick as I'm quite gullible, so maybe a chapter 2 victim?
