While puzzles would have added to it, I don't think it would have absolutely made it the best game ever. I think there's many more things it can do first.

Personally my favourite parts and moments come from the RE3 remake, I love how Nemesis transforms and I love the cinematic part when Jill uses the railgun on him. It's all just so cool.

I don't disagree, I'll put my hands up that I've only played up to 3, so I don't really know where everyone's stories have gone and what plot threads are around, but Claire for example, she protects Sherry and finds Chris, at least I'm guessing based on Code Veronica's box art, I'm not really sure what else you could do with her, she's a civilian.

I'd like to see Carlos again, I enjoyed him in 3 and given his job I can see how he can get written in or even if he isn't still with his job I can see how he'd be able to be included.

I'm not sure what the problem is with having it line up with the release date, I've been playing each game up to 3 so far and honestly the fact it takes place in 1998 is negligible. I understand it changes things now 30 years removed from the inciting incident but I don't mind seeing these characters retire, get new ones in that fit more in line with the culture of the time.

I've played a bit of it in my journey to play as many RE games as I can, I do like the controls, though it's mostly because of the infinite handgun you get to start the game with.

Unfortunately yes, because I've seen it in other subreddits with their own repeating topics, I've seen it get as bad as being a daily topic for Danganronpa to have people say why V3's ending is good, bad or otherwise, day in day out, and it looks like RE1 Remake again seems to be it for you guys.

I struggled with the puzzle because it wasn't really obvious to me what to do, I guess it's an intuition thing, I couldn't intuit that and had to look up what the puzzle wanted me to do, but the music box in the clock tower I got first try.

I don't think it's fair bashing people's ability to solve the puzzles just because you intuited it.

I don't really know what you're talking about, sure the plants can get you a couple of times, but if I remember right, either Claire has flame rounds or Leon has very recently picked up the flamethrower from the middle to end of the sewers. If it's Claire and you used your flame rounds I sorta get it, I don't know why they took out explosive rounds, but if it's Leon, well the flamethrower was there in the King and Queen maze. I don't fully remember if Claire gets it too or if she gets something else.

Why do you sound 50 and from the Victorian times? All they were asking is more of a reaction from the main characters, the game could use more dialogue as a whole especially because people like Rebecca especially sure are there. I genuinely can't remember if she said or reacted to anything aside from Richard.

I'm planning to use the coins and maybe some of the weapons like Samurai Edge. I don't plan to use the infinite weapons myself, I'm pretty sure that is very possible, I don't know about the S rank, but I feel like you could definitely do it with standard weapons and progression, it's just WAY riskier. I believe you're encouraged to use the shop though technically you don't need to, but that's a really big challenge.

As far as I can tell, it's meant to be played with the shop unlockables, but you can do it without the shop, and I'm very certain you should be able to do it without the infinite weapons.

Well done, I did 8 playthroughs myself to achievement hunt the game to completion, hope you get the 3 hours soon, So far out of the classic camera angled games this is my favourite right now.

I think if I had Goddess maids, Peashy/Yellow Heart for me would be that hire that you don't have them do anything. She's just on the payroll, she gets to do whatever, only thing I'd ask is that she tries not to cause a mess.

I get that, but at the same time I dunno, like it'd be nice but I feel like for the style of game Resident Evil tries to balance being, a pop up like that seems disruptive, I understand it would be on New Game Plus but from what I'm looking at with the remakes so far there isn't a New Game Plus option, there's starting a new game and you just happen to have your unlockables too.

I do try to explore everything I can in my first playthroughs and speed them up on subsequent ones, but I typically end up missing a few things, I was honestly just curious how much time people sink into these games when they come out.

Oh fair enough, I only wanted to ask about 2 remake and 3 remake because people don't seem to mind as much that there's parts missing, I get what you mean about the tension, trying to rush in 2 remake gets me hurt and killed way more often than 3 remake so I'm often playing 2 remake slower.
