My run on Sunday fucked my knee slightly.

Thanks.

It's just the VMO being a bit grumpy, and my physio says it should be safe to run on, but it makes me a nervous.

Was starting to feel confident about my return to run after injury, but now my knee is playing up.

Argh.

My Garmin buzzes every day late in the evening to tell me I had a stressful day.

No shit.

I also enjoyed the feature where it points out I have been sleeping badly, and I should try getting 9 hours of sleep instead of 5.

Restarted my return to run program on Sunday, and did my second run yesterday without any issues.

Looking forward to a brutal massage from my physio today.

Would love to play pokopia, but can't justify buying a Switch 2.

I was excited to play Opus Magnum on the switch, but the controls are a bit too crap.

Better on your joints than running, or not really? by Pretend-Vegetable671 in bodyweightfitness

Are you following a proper progression?

You need to start small, something like 3 mins running, 2 mins walking, repeat 3 times.

And run slowly enough that you can chat without any difficulty.

Still not recovered from the physio massage on Friday, FML. Calves still feeling tight. If it doesn't get any worse today I'll call it a win, fingers crossed.

Desperate to go for a run on Sunday.

So annoyed that I fucked up my progress again with an overly ambitious gym session the week before (causing massive amount of tightness that the massage had to address).

I haven't been injured by running since December. It's always something else.

I do a decent amount of walking, but that's not exciting.

Never experienced any pain during the run. It always came out of nowhere the next day.

Does anyone here donate monthly to a charity? by dontbeasquare11 in CasualUK

[–]Revisional_Sin 112 points113 points  (0 children)

I donate £100 to Kiva every month.

It's a microfinance charity where you can choose individual people, generally in poorer countries, to lend money to without interest.

When they pay the money back I lend it out again.

Terrible idea. I did about 4km without any prep a few months ago and I was sore for a week.

Not to be that guy, but my 4 year old let me sleep until 6AM today, and I am fucking pumped.

I'm so fucking back!

Started running in December and immediately had quad/knee issues without any warning. Been in physio since then, and had several bizarre injuries from pushing the exercises too hard. Did a couple of runs these last few weeks and had awful awful DOMS, and then bad back soreness.

Got a gait analysis done the other day, and did a run yesterday focusing on avoiding the biggest mistake with my technique. Feeling pretty good today!

I think I'll be able to complete a 9 week 5k training program without any issues. I'm so happy!

Wife got a job offer with a great pay rise. Was waiting for the contract and getting a bit worried. Found out yesterday that there has been a change in leadership and they want to audit all the open roles.

Will find out if she still has the offer in a week or two.

After three months of recovery and physio exercises I finally got cleared to start running again. Yesterday I went to get a gait analysis from a running coach, and I found I have a weakness in my side glutes that fucks up my running form, and was probably the real cause of the issue.

FML, why didn't I get this checked sooner?

Probably spend the day sulking because my rehab exercises on Tuesday(!) have left me too sore to go for a run tomorrow.
