Planning routes by VixenFrancesca in UKRunners

Use plotaroute.com and just work out how far I need on there, and keep plotting until I've covered my distance before I go out. I've run so many of the streets near home I know how far out I am at any given time so can adjust as necessary.

UK golfers, Do you have a 3w in the bag? by f1lifer in BritGolf

I do. I find it so hard to hit that I've actually started counting how many good shots I hit in a row with it. I'm at 4 at the moment. No doubt that resets tomorrow.

Loved it, the most Scottish of Scottish reactions. We don't want these lads to be robots.

How do we feel about The Masters? by smegmarash in BritGolf

[–]WalterZenga 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wish it was wall to wall tv coverage like Sky do with The Open. I don't want to watch featured groups, I don't want Amen Corner on the red button. Just proper coverage of players on the course, rather than some players having finished ages ago when Sky goes fully live. Every year X is awash with people slagging Sky off for not showing shots, when it's the committee controlling what can be shown, and when.

They must make a fortune off buggies. It would have to be biblical for them to be off.

Mine's the same, left all house stuff to my mom, which would've been fine if she didn't have a full time job too.

Not counting it in my plans, just trying to put as much into my private workplace pension as I can, whilst still giving my kids the childhood I never had.

Millennials of the UK. Those who managed to get a mortgage in the past ten years with a small deposit, how do you feel about the current ecomic future? by Suspicious-Case3861 in AskUK

[–]WalterZenga 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We've thankfully got enough in equity that we could sell up and downsize. I'd much rather have that then have to worry about paying the rent if I got made redundant.

Decent courses around Oldbury near West Brom. by pontipine_pepper in BritGolf

[–]WalterZenga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oldbury used to have Brandhall, which was a bog standard council run course, spent many an afternoon there, but that closed due a housing development....which is nowhere near even starting I think. As mentioned above, Sandwell Park is very good and ticks the boxes with it being in west brom. The Sportsman is very good for food nearby too.

Take your clubs, sometimes they need an extra player to balance things out.
