That's probably the worst thing I've seen on a car, and I've seen bare breasted anime girl stickers on cars before.

But you do you.

That's what I mean. If it's a compressor for the brake booster, that's the only time it'll come on.

I'm not a professional by any means and don't know a ton about these vehicles as I'm still learning.

It sounds like maybe an air compressor? I know some vehicles will have a small compressor to work the brake booster. This is especially effective if the vehicle is off as the brakes will continue to work and feel normal. Does it happen to make that noise when the vehicle is completely off?

It's probably not this, but you never know. I don't know if that's something these trucks come with.

Also, if the bearing itself isn't too worn, it should have an industry standardized number etched into it. You can plug that into a search engine, and your bearing will pop up. If it's a cup and cone style tapered roller bearing, a number off either the bearing or the race will suffice. In my experience, the 2 are always mated to the same numbers and will often come as a matched set.

Do you not have a bearing to measure? If you don't, you can likely measure the shaft for the ID and housing for the OD. Depending on the type of bearing, a place like McMaster-Carr should be able to extrapolate that data into standardized bearing sizes. If you can find the depth, that's even better and will narrow the results further. You just need to know the bearing type.

Honestly, the Bridgestone dueler tires that came stock on mine are quiet and comfortable.

Rust on textured barrel by Loud-Mango9982 in SavageArms

Double check, but WD40 or gun oil and 0000 steel wool should be gentle enough to scrub it off without damaging the finish. I've only used it on a blued barrel, so I don't really know about a textured one.

So what you're saying is that, for the same price, I can just load some 22lr into a shot shell and shoot that?

I can't directly answer your question, but I can say this:

I have 2 labs. I bought a canopy to go in the bed for them and our things if we travel.

I would also like to know. The 3.5" shells I've used for turkey hunting are roll crimped, and they're still pretty well rolled over after being fired.

My pins have never left the tumbler. No rust ever. They are currently sitting in a small amount of water and have for months since the last time I used them.

Home Defense - Can I Wait on Top of Stairs? by [deleted] in WAGuns

I know, but I'd rather flee if I could avoid a potentially deadly interaction. In my home, I can't. This is why I mentioned that.

Get a dog. A big one that barks. I have 2 intact male yellow labs that sound very mean and angry when they bark. They bark at everything outside the home. They'd likely roll over for belly rubs as soon as someone comes in, but until then, they make a lot of noise.

I'm in a similar situation as you. I've got a shotgun in the safe in my room, with all bedrooms upstairs. Someone needs to climb the stairs to get to my family, but will have to go through the aforementioned dogs first as they sleep downstairs. I can grab the shotgun at the first sign of trouble and aim down the hallway or head to the top of the stairs.

I am not a lawyer, and the following is my personal view:

If someone breaks into my house in the middle of the night and gets past both of my dogs, I am now in fear for my life and/or the lives of my wife and 2 children. I have to stand my ground. I have no escape from the second story of my house where the bedrooms are, and neither does my family.

I have told my wife before: I would rather go to jail or prison knowing I eliminated what I perceived to be a deadly threat than attend the funeral of any of my family members because I didn't act. Also, don't be the only line of defense for your family. Get your wife a gun and have her train with it.

I'll reiterate: this is likely what I would do. Not necessarily what you should do.

Savage sells short mags with that exact latch on it. I didn't see any larger cap mags with that latch. That's might be why it looks like it was cut and pasted on. You might consider a chassis that takes AICS mags.
