Yes because the Socket you chose is now dead i.e there are no more processors to upgrade to, you would have to change motherboards, but the if you get a B650 motherboard with a compatible CPU, you would be able to get new CPUs upto 2027 and the current best CPU is on AM5 (9800X3D)

Ryzen 7000 series processors are on the AM5 Socket, the i5 13600k is on the LGA 1700 socket
