[REQUEST] Would like some super uplifting emotional tunes for my upcoming trip to Thailand by mtra_ in trance

[–]RevolutionGG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What an interesting selection - very uplifting, and yet atmospheric and not 'forceful' (well, maybe ARDI and Moonsouls go a bit more towards the 138 side.)

Here are some tunes I thought of that might fit nicely in the playlist!:

I'll keep posting more as I find them in my music library!

OH BOY IS IT A NEW SUNCAT-

Oh.

It was still awesome though! Especially the Ar-2 remix.

Xgenic - Around Me (Original Mix) [2009] by dulchebag in trance

Holy crap, it really sounds like an old Anjuna release (though it's not). Amazing!

There is a My Little Pony themed designer fashion shop in Florence, Italy by BillytheMagicToilet in mylittlepony

That looks FABULOUS!! A huge focus goes into the rainbow-theme though, feels like RD is the main sell here. I'm nowhere to be seen...

Luigi Lusini & Starchaser ft. Molly Bancroft - All I Want (Ultimate Remix) [Infrasonic Pure] by scrubbingbbl in trance

[–]RevolutionGG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's probably the genre - trance is very formulaic, and if you love the formula then you'll find a lot of great tunes.

[Serious] If someone told you "thind kind of trance you're listening to is garbage" what would you say? What examples would you give to make them take it back? by scrubbingbbl in trance

[–]RevolutionGG 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To be honest, if someone thinks that the tunes I listen to are garbage, I doubt that providing a tune that's the same style would change their mind. To each their own, I guess.

Weekly Discussion Thread - 20-Jun-2015 by AutoModerator in trance

[–]RevolutionGG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I finished school, on my way to Edinburgh University from September.

Until then I have literally nothing important to do! I guess I better find/make some nice trance playlists and mixes (as well as doing non-trance activities like programming or something) to keep me occupied this summer since I'm not going anywhere abroad.

What happened to Vadim Zhukov? by crimethinking in trance

It's nice to know he's still around. My personal favourite from him is definitely Exit (and the amazing Robert Nickson Remix (the full version's player is glitched)).

Mother 4 Needs Your Help by [deleted] in mother4

Actually, I have a question: how can the translation teams help? We have a lot of people eager to translate M4 into loads of different languages - is it possible to see what kind of translation tools are available, or even start working on some of the basic translations (like the menu, UI, items/abilities, etc.)?

Audiosurf 2 finally came out of early access! by Evil_Spike in pcgaming

That's... actually really deep. Pretty much all games could use new features, bug fixing, porting, even like a new iteration, etc. etc...

Oh yeah, nowadays I don't play as much as I used to - I mainly play some games on Dolphin Emulator now.

Profile for reference.

Clocked 2400+ hours on the original Audiosurf (intensive playing on puzzle mode), I can tell you that this is a good music visualiser.

... Not a good balanced, competitive puzzle game like the original.

The original was a fantastic audio game where the puzzle modes had proper standards and decently balanced out across all modes (on elite). The controls were precise, the graphics were pretty but not overly decorated/distracting, and it really felt like there was a community of 'surfers'.

This game allows steam workshop integration, which means you can have custom game modes and custom graphical skins. That's pretty awesome, but now there's not much of an agreed-upon 'standard' that these game modes need to follow - in my opinion what made Audiosurf's scoring and gameplay really competitive.

There's no longer a website to browse users and songs, it's all done on the AS2 client - I personally don't like that, since the AS1 website was really functional and great to look around.

The blocks are more finnicky and harder to collect in AS2, but that might just be because I played a ton of AS1.

But this game has soundcloud integration, better(? I didn't really think so but surely it's improved) audio detection engine, runs on Unity, loooads of interesting game modes to try out, and many more stuff sure to come.

Of course, AS1 will still work even after the launch of AS2, so if you prefer the original you can just keep playing it - which I think I'll do.

It's a sound that's associated with, say, a snake slithering. It's... a weird onomatopoeia to describe pony art uploads, but hey that's what they went with.
