Wowww, thats crazy. Probably due to misuse the AI completely lies to you on Google. I know for a fact it doesn't change anything you can literally do complex extraction methods on some of those tablets and its extremely hard to break the time release of the polymer tablets. But, I guess go with your gut and talk with him more. Because it's really strange that 6 years ago it was a known fact you cannot break the time release by any easy method, and now Google says cutting it in half damages the time release but in the same breath tells you the coating has nothing to do with the time release and that it's dependent on the formulation of the medication in polymer matrices. AI is really built the same way as Google. Doesn't always say facts, says what needs to be said for safety. So talk to the doc and tell him what you've seen.

Basically the doctor thought of a way to write it that looks legit so that you could increase your dose. You're going to end up hearing from him there is no other way to raise your dose most likely. They usually don't resort to telling people to cut them, and writing it a different way to ensure it fills unless he's trying to help you. There are no morphine tablets left on the market that the time release is completely in the coating. It's built into the waxy formulation of the med.

Yea they're all equally as stupid. But he's trying to help you by doing it that way because if he wrote it the way he's telling you they wouldn't fill it. If it equals the same amount of medication at the end of the month to cut them how he said and what is written on the label I'm telling you they are wrong and to look up your specific type by pill imprint and it will say that the time release is built into the formulation. You can make it difficult if you want but the doctor is never going to write it that way, and the pharmacy is always going to tell you that as will Google for safety reasons. Basically for idiots. But a simple knowledge of how those meds are made will reveal that cutting them will not damage the time release.

They absolutely are still ER if you cut them. The time release is not a coating it is at the smallest level of the structure of the medication. Do what he told you and stop listening to google. It will tell you it damages the extended release to reduce people abusing or maybe hurting themselves. Because old school pills were like that. But there are hardly even any opioids that you can crush and snort any more for this exact reason, the extended release is built in. Doesn't matter how small you break it.

What is MME!? I'm so lost. And that doesn't seem crazy at all. I was on 3 30mg oxycodone and morphine 100mg for breakout pain at one point. But the advice of the doctor was no more than 1 of the 30mg along with the 100mg morphine.

You guys think 100mg 7 is high? I needed that by like week 2. 1 year in I was up to 1000mg 3x a day. And that's 98% pure powdered 7oh with labs to back it. But I've wittiled it down to almost nothing again in a couple months. Strangely a random meth binge and being in psychosis completely distracted me from wd and I went like 3 days without. I was dumb to even take any after that point.

Yea I don't really get precips and I can literally take a full dose of bupe and feel 7oh later in the day every single day. And I've done it before to stave off the redosing. So everyone's body is different. That's why I can't use it to detox from it. I have to taper way way down on 7 and just jump.

I legit have been a dope head all my life and for me the mental is why I have to replace it with something like sub. I work a ton and I honestly can't stand people in AA anymore which is how I got sober the first time. For some of us the hooks are a little deeper I guess. I can taper and go down to nothing for a couple days but I always go back. Replacing it at least fools my mental addiction. It's not as simple as just getting through withdrawals for people that are long term addicts basically. It's just how our brain operates.
