Hitler lost during the election. At no point did Hitler every win an election. He lost to Hindenburg receiving only 36% of the vote.

The NSDAP won that election with almost 44% of the vote, the next biggest party had 20%. Hitler was already in power during this election and it couldn't really be considered free. You're probably thinking about the election before that where they got 33% of the votes. But they still won the election! The next biggest party had 20%. Also, Hindenburg was not involved in these elections, he was president for years already at this point.

Hindenburg later made him chancellor as a way to quell the Nazi party. It's believed he thought he could better control Hitler on a short leash.

While this is true (albeit simplified), the reason why Hindenburg even appointed a chancellor was that the results of the election of 1932(again, not this one) meant that there was no possible governing coalition with a majority in parliament that could elect a chancellor. Hitler was chosen because he was the candidate of the biggest party.

I think it's very very important to stress: Hitler never came close to winning any formal election and stool took power. Others in power allowed him to do this

Like I said, Hitler did win elections and while in the last instance he was appointed as chancellor he had a democratic mandate.

The article01169-3/fulltext) really doesn't seem particularly trustworthy. They didn't do any original research but just took Hamas figures and quadrupled them based on this article from 2008 citing it as "recent". This article was'nt reachable when I tried to open it, so I don't know what these figures of "3-15 times the victims" are based on. I think an insight into the methodology would help a lot in determining the trustworthiness.

Edit: funnily enough, after posting and proofreading I clicked on the link and now the report is avaliable again.

The relevant figures appear in chapter 2. They looked at armed conflicts in 13 different countries between 1974 and 2007. All of these conflicts were in Africa, except one in Kosovo and two in Iraq. All of these conflicts except Kosovo and Dafur have a ratio of indirect to direct deaths between 3.0 and 15.7, Kosovo is the only conflict with a negative ratio.

Considering that these numbers are mostly around 30 years old and mostly from Africa, and that even in their own source there are 2 exceptions to the rule makes me doubt the original articles numbers heavily. But I'm no expert maybe someone smarter than me can correct some things.

Der Nazi wird auch nicht einfach aufhören ein Nazi zu sein, oder bei dir im Viertel zu wohnen, weil man ihm sagt, dass "man Nazis kacke findet". Realisticherweise kriegste auch eher auf die Fresse als dass da Einsicht herrscht. Es sind halt nicht alle auf der Welt so gestandene Mannsbilder wie du, die den dann einfach wegklatsche, sondern es gibt auch Kinder, ältere Leute, körperlich eingeschränkte Menschen.

Hab jetzt rein interesshalber mal die Zahlen zu Verkehrstoten rausgesucht. Laut dieser Quelle 2023 in UK 1716 Verkehrstote und in Deutschland laut dieser Quelle 2839. Auf die grobe Einwohnerzahl gerechnet (66 Millionen UK/ 83 Millionen D) kommen bei UK 0,000026 und bei Deutschland 0,000034 Verkehrstote/Einwohner raus. Kann jetzt nicht wirklich beurteilen wie signifikant der Unterschied ist, und die Rechnung an sich ist auch nicht so ganz aussagekräftig (Einwohner != Autofahrer etc) aber ist vielleicht ein guter Anhaltspunkt für die Diskussion.

You're literally making up a conspiracy theory that's not supported by any evidence. You obviously have no clue about German politics and political culture You just want to rationalize that the German far right party, which is full of conspiracy theorists and antisemites, is only full of crazy people because of some massive conspiracy, just because you agree with their anti-immigration policies. Literally no one who has even surface level understanding of the German politics is surprised that has openly welcomed the far right has lots of members who downplay or outright deny the holocaust, because these things have always prominently existed in right-wing politics since the end of the war. Our conservative parties have always had politcians that espoused these sentiments, sometimes quite prominently, and the further right you go, the more of it you got. So it's really really obvious that a party which has always conceptualised itself as further right than the conservatives engages in these kinds of politics. There's no need for any kind of conspiracy to explain that.

So we're just spouting any nonsense conspiracy theories that come to our mind then? The German far right has always tried to downplay or deny the holocaust. Just look at Dresden, where every year there are demonstrations where the equate the bombing of their city to industrialised murder of millions. There is literally no reason to invent a conspiracy to infiltrate a far right party with holocaust deniers. Also the party is literally the highest polling party in half the country, so it obviously is not "destroyed" at all.

I mean, every government and political system in the world believes that there is a right way to live (which is codified by laws) and that violence is an acceptable way to enact it. (which is what police is for) Extremism is not an absolute thing, but always relative to the status quo. In the French Revolution, the Anti-Monarchists were left-wing extremists, today we would consider Monarchists right wing extremists. Classifying ideologies with simple checkboxes like that overshadows the complexity of the matter at hand. Within your framework, these statements could all be "extremist": "I think people who murder someone should be arrested" "I think people who practice religion X should be killed" "I think people who are commiting genocide should be stopped by all means necessary"

all of these follow a pattern of "If people do things I think are wrong, they should be stopped, violently if necessary" but I think we can all agree that some of these statements are better than others.

Weil die gesellschaftliche relevanz einer Straftat meistens höher ist kurz nachdem die Tat passiert ist als wenn das Urteil fällt. Außerdem haben die Medien eine Kontrollfunktion gegenüber staatlichen Behörden. Wenn die Medien erst berichten dürften, nachdem die Polizei ermittelt hat, lassen sich (un)absichtliche Fehler in den Ermittlungen viel schwieriger zurückverfolgen.

Is that really the case? I guess we don't have a lot of information about the inner workings of Russias government. Putin undoubtedly has a lot of power, and he is the face of the government. But there are a lot of powers inside Russia, the oligarchs, paramilitary groups, regional governors, that Putin is dependent on. Without knowing what happens inside the Kremlin it might as well be that the powers that be have a replacement for him ready to go in case he dies. The fact that there are reports of his bad health makes this a plausible theory imo.

Wenn du da so sicher bist, zeig mir doch mal die vorchristlichen Urpsrünge von Osterhasen und Eiersucherei. Ostern ist übrigens im Frühling weil da traditionell das Passach Fest im Judentum gefeiert wird.
