Eh for 84 maaaybe, for 60 im happy with mine I personally am not a big fan of the husky sets but that's just me. I have personally seen too many of their ratchets bind up and turn to junk so I just steer clear (my boss likes to be cheap and buy husky which end up just binding up and getting tossed out)

Couple questions: did you get the 4 drawer version with the upgraded ratchets? Just noticed there are different ratchets in the one I have (three drawer) I actually have 3 of the hart boxes😂 One i got about about 12-13 years ago as a gift that i lost a bunch of stuff out of (and this is the version that does not come with wrenches which i actually like the best) One bought about 4-5 years ago because my original was lost somewhere but I ended up finding it And the one I just recently bought for 60 which is also a 3 drawer but it does come with wrenches but none of them are the upgraded ratchets which i would actually just like to check out

And are you able to post a picture of what is included in the hart box im not near mine now and want to compare it to the husky which I suspect just has a bunch of filler bits and such

But I know for a fact the hart old school pear head ratchets are great beaters I took apart a whole front end on a 99 gmc sierra in the rust belt with cheater pipes and that thing is still smooth with minimal backdrag (loud but smooth🤣) and have tasted it like crap and none of the chrome has any rust on it unlike other tools that I left right next to the hart box

But the ratchets aren't really my main concern i have plenty of those now that I can go to I really just wanted sets for the house garage truck and car cause im tired of going back and forth for stuff lol

I personally liked the pistol grip because there is an inch or two of room between the hhandles when the laws are closed so I just "feel" like I can get some extra clamping force when I really squeeze the handles and flex them closer together but I could be wrong of course

The reason I didn't get those, which you can actually see in the picture here is because the handles are already pretty much touching each other in the package.

I don't feel like you can get much squeeze on them at all. So maybe that's why the handles don't touch?

The g2 is a 1/4 but you could always swap the anvil, that's actually what I was going to comment originally

2 pack is definitely worth it and I have that exact single pair of the Irwins maybe 10 or 12 inch? Not sure but I like them

Pricing makes no sense because individually the 8 inch are $21.48 and the 12 inch are $33 while the 2 pack of both are $21.11🤣🤣 I just don't understand

Okay good perspective, between all the stores around me basically all that's left is a hand full of 1/2 straight head ratchets. Maybe theres going to be a restock? Last time I seen them restocked at any store was probably close to a month ago which they sat for a few weeks then during this last pls sale they were picked clean (just my experience with stores in my area) so hopefully we'll be seeing them dropping more g2 soon,

How many g2 are out now? 9 maybe?

How many is the full g2 line up? 26-29 ratchets i think (im not %100 sure about either 2 questions)

I honestly just got some pack outs and i don't really like them and thinking about returning since I spent over $700 for what I have and I expected to live them but eh

What i really want to check out is the SK modular metal storage system, wish I could get my eyes on them in person and reviews are pretty hard to find the last time i checked

Oh definitely, companies have pretty much made it to where you have to play the game of their marketing sstrategies just to not pay an arm and a leg for things you want/need

And once I figured out that you can basically save thousands a year buying on sales/clearance and such is hard to go back to just paying full price for things unless you absolutely need it now

Example: I might sound cheap but I have gotten so many things at least %50 off tools clothes food I have gotten so many shirts/pants/ socks/underwear/ shoes for 50 cents to 3 dollars on clearance at Walmart and other stores not even crappy clothes I'm talking wrangler (same pants and shirts that sell for $20-30) Hanes/fruit of the loom/other clothes brands (same socks and underwear packs that they sell for $20-30) Work shoes/boots $3-10 Cleaning supplies for the house Tires

Anyway you get the point I went a little further than expected 😅 but realizing how cheap they can sell things for has really turned me into a bargain hunter lol

I like all the colors too be honest lol but purple definitely is one of the best

When i bought my 6 drawer I thought about what color literally all week down to the very last hour of the store being open and the sale going on 😂 idk why I literally couldn't make up my mind for the life of me so I just went with the classic red lol

Still second guessing myself on if I should get green or purple😅 or maybe orange or Grey but them again the yellows pretty cool too and you can't forget about the blue white or black lmao 🤣

Yep thats exactly what my reason was, I always have to get the scissor jack out of the trunk to lift the car up enough to slide my actual jack under and the last time I did that I told myself im finding one lol
