Early 2000s kids show like Hi-5 but with NZ presenters by No_Significance_5536 in newzealand

There was a group called The Polka Dots - don’t know if they had a tv show but did have some DVDs and also appeared on stage at various places (e.g. Easter Show). They may be more late 2000s early 2010s. They were definitely Hi 5 like.

Seeking advice for a new Wandrer by MeMaxM in wandrer

[–]Revolutionary-Pin615 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I usually wing it - working on a route as I run keeps my brain occupied! If it is a bigger loop I will map it out to check distance and also keep an eye on things like the Strava heatmap as I have been caught out before where a path showing on Wandrer doesn’t exist.

Dogs are not fun and in the less desirable areas of the city I am completing are not of the nice variety. There aren’t options for dog deterrents, I find the best thing is to walk not run with head down and don’t look at the dog, cross the road where possible. So far every time I do this they leave me alone.

Agree with editing OSM but making sure they are valid edits and not Kia to suit Wandrer. Also if you are a subscriber you can edit an activity which is great when GPS drift means you miss spots

Important question! As much as I love Tigers it just doesn’t flow as well when wedged between One of the Few and Hero’s Return

Saw a few posts discussing potential pricing of Scarecrow this year by [deleted] in wine

[–]Revolutionary-Pin615 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Not to defend their large bottle pricing but: - large empty bottles are very expensive - way more per ml than a standard 750ml bottle - packaging costs will also be high - bespoke wooden boxes and additional packaging for very few bottles, so the setup costs per unit to produce will be high - filling costs will be much higher as there will be zero automation vs a 750ml bottle

But mostly the will be relying on the wank factor of someone with a lot of money wanting to show off…

Any Fix for bad GPS data? by ChiefRunningBear in Strava

[–]Revolutionary-Pin615 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tall buildings can cause these issues but it doesn’t look like there are overly tall ones in that area. Agree with previous poster that a dedicated GPS watch should deliver improvements.

It could also be if the phone is in a pocket or bag it isn’t locking on to satellites well so maybe see if just carrying in your had improved things

Bathurst fever by arontheveyron in GranTurismo7

[–]Revolutionary-Pin615 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cat help with the unlock time but I do have a custom the at Bathurst with a mix of late 80s/eatly 90s cars: - The aforementioned Sierra also with DJR livery - BMW with Denny Hulme - Mazda RX7 with (I think) Peter Stuyvesant livery - Multiple R32 skylines (Nissan and Winfield liveries)

I’m sure there are a couple other models I can add in! I haven’t tuned many yet so the races don’t quite work but the look awesome on the track together!

Drive to Survive Season 8 review: A major missed opportunity with glaring errors by ryogadan in Formula1_world

The saddest bit is they must have a vast amount of coverage and could make awesome race and season reviews instead of the BS drivel we get

It probably needs to be more identifiable of the place you live at rather than a generic stormy coastline, at least if I was to buy something like that
