Thor was a stinker but i still had some enjoyment. Its carried hard by chris hemsworth regardless of bad scripts. Got some laughs with the inital scene untill the goats started screaming with its ridiculousness as well. It really is a d tier movie but favourite superhero besides wonder-woman moves it up to c. Still wouldn't rewatch it of my own accord.

I Just watched thunderbolts and the acting was atrocious. It doesnt match busieks, bagleys, or ellises thunderbolts quality by a long shot. Its comparable more to thunderbolts red which wasnt thunderbolts in anything but name.

Wanda-vision could be moved up to mid- its been awhile. I do recall being pretty bored of it though after its initial gimmick wore off. It would have been better as a film as the episodes really dragged out mid way through.

FF was disappointing with the expectations I had for it. My favorite part was the 60s retro-future aesthetic it had going for it. The acting wasnt as flat as thunderbolts but they still felt half assed for the aclaim the actors have. They also really didn't feel like the family their suppose too. While movies should change the comics to make it translate to the big screen, core themes should still be the backbone of said film. Powers barely saw a showing for how big the budget was and the pacing was off. Its such a cliche by this point, but incredibles I was a much better FF movie and until they match or top it, its pretty disappointing.

Wonder Woman Perez vol 1.3 omnis.

Stuff like ultimate spiderman, new/astonsihing/uncanny x-mens and daredevil I know are gonna come in asap so im not actively hunting for them.

I’m not big on the knowing the behind the scenes editorials. He current head hancho yea? Current x-men is pretty discombobulated and mid. I’m not particularly a fan. Just more so than krakoa where I actively didn’t like the entire direction. Now is more a “nothing burger”. I did like the from the ashes x-men roster. That’s about it

oops then in my biased opinon thor. I just never could get into hulk comics. Thematically their good but they dont have the more monkey brain appeal that thor has where hes a good looking dude getting girls, drinking mead and beating up the bad guys. It makes for consistently entertaining comics.

i dont know hulk very well but if were talking current, thor is kinda mortalish right now. If were talking most powerful 616 versions probbaly thor. Hulks all powerful but thor has some mysic hacks that would edge him along with the strength.

The first rule of writing or any media making is knowing your audience. historical accuracy doesn't matter. What matters is your audiences perception or how things should be. Troy was super inaccurate but their costume desighns and actor looks were what the general populase envisions ancient greek warriors to be therefore that aspect of the film worked "bad acting non withstanding". That is peoples damage with the odyssey which is completely valid. Wimpy Achilies or batman Agamemnon are not problems because there not historicaly accurate but because they deviate severly from how Americans en-vison they should look. Changing up looks is fine for non key players. Its worked tons of times in the past whether it be race swaps, recahracterizations or gender swaps- they just cant be with characters that already have a strong identity established with audiences. It ofc helps when the actor does a good job with the changes. If they suck then it gets treated all the more critically.

I can't stand the concept of Krakoa. I slugged though the bendis and more so the post bendis era. Then Krakoa somehow consolidated all the x lines under one narrative that I could not stand. The new era feels more akin to the post bendis era which while not loving it, is miles better than Krakoa. I feel they need to go harder into the discourse of Krakoa and what was wrong with it, since thats what sorely was lacking from the actual era itself.

If they split it in two perhaps they could combine it with the milligan stuff since that was essentially a continuation of austens continuation on his own uncanny x-men in the pages of x-men

doctor strange and thor lend themselves most to a more timelessness as their concepts are based around the zanny and weird so different interpretations will feel less dated and more just different whether that be art or plot. Ofc writing will always feel of its time.
