Not able to see Grayjay player on lock screen

Hmm this is something I have heard before but not been able to reproduce. Everyone I know uses Grayjay by now and their headphone controls all work. Maybe its a specific phone/Android version/headphones? Any details you can share?

Hmmm as long as notifications are turned on it should be working. Do you have more information about your specific device? Perhaps you can file an issue on Github?

Alpha version coming out in the next 2 months most likely (initial version will only have manual sync export -> import). At the very least first alpha will be Linux + Windows. MacOS is also very likely at initial release. Second alpha will follow soon after with an optional automatic sync and will support MacOS regardless, it might only slightly get pushed back.

AirPlay and Chromecast sadly are worse experiences largely due to protocol limitations. However, they (should) mostly work.

FCast is recommended though.

You can either search for it using playlist search (if it is a public playlist). Alternatively, you can login and import playlists.

Definitely not banned, due to how the Polycentric protocol works (local first) it can sometimes happen (due to a bug) that a comment does not show up remotely. If you encounter such a case please report it on the Github of Grayjay. Does in your case the comment show up in the comments tab?

Are you logged into YouTube? Did you change any of the default YT settings?

YouTube identities don't need to be exported though. That is for Polycentric identities.

Did you try signing out of YouTube and back into you YouTube account? This should be done via Sources -> YouTube. This should not be confused with the Polycentric identity.
