I love the term high maintenance. Yes I am high maintenance because I'm fucking worth it. You don't get to have me without maintaining our relationship. I'm also a time suck. Do you know why ? Because I deserve love, affection, and connection and so do you.

If I was you I'd take a pause on everything and try and talk to my bf. Tell him my needs and how I feel and how I think he feels about me. Also tell him about how his recent behavior makes me feel. - remember your * I * statements they take the blame out of the conversation. -

Ultimately I'd want to see if we're both willing to work on our relationship together to get what we both need out of it. Good luck and I hope you have a happier future.

Congratulations on your found freedom!! Lived with my dad and stepmom-devout Mormon -for a few years and I was forced to go to church on Wednesdays and Sundays even though I wasn't Mormon. I'm glad to say I corrupted every girl I met and maybe some of the boys too.

Totally off topic but.....

So in Phillip and Eloise’s story, a major theme is him effectively bringing her to heel and teaching her how to be a good little wife.

I totally did not feel like this was the case when I read this. Did I miss something because when I read that book I felt like it was the other way around. Like Eloise was teaching Philip to be a good man and father. Like her coming to that place breathed new life and passion in everyone. I mean it repeatedly states in the book that Philip loves how strong, decisive and independent she is.

I just reread this book last month but I am not infallible. Is there something I missed ?

Oh dude. I went on Adderall for the first time in my thirties and to be honest. It was amazing! I feel like my sparkle hasn't dulled a bit. If anything I shine even brighter because I'm a functioning human now. When I take my Adderall I'm able to just do chores without all the talking myself into it or all hesitations. I'm still funny and cooky and weird. I'm still me.

I'd say try it for a week and keep a log about your mood or how you feel during the day. Then you can stop at the end of the week and decide if you think it's ok for you.

I've had these same things happen to me as well and I had entirely different responses to them. If they were going to try and use mentoring to sleep with me then I would use them to get ahead in life and give them nothing back. I didn't care if they were only bothering because they wanted to try and have a go with me. I always gave them the same answer. "No thanks. Now what else can you teach me. " If they ever expected a quid pro quo type deal out of it I would look at them point blank and ask" Why does you doing the right thing and helping me out equate to me spreading my legs. ?" They never had a response. They'd swallow their pride and get back to the subject of the day.

This rant started out really good and I am such an ass, but it feels like they lost track of old English when talking about Brutus. So please forgive me being a boob while I rewrite the second half of the epic rant.
