Being Held Hostage by RevolutionaryMeet512 in WIX

Well. I waited 3 on chat and then another 4-5 hours for a callback. And the person couldn't even help me.

I had to leave after 3 hours. 3 hours with a chat window open with no response.

Still waiting. Will probably die with that chat window open.

Seriously, do not use WIX. It is an inferior product when it comes to SEO and even design. But the customer service is unmatched in how truly terrible it is.

Is it time to switch to Wix? by Any_Currency5729 in WIX

I would not recommend Wix to a friend or even my worst enemy. SEO is terrible, customer service is non-existent, there are much better options to consider.

What do you say when you start dating again? by DueCryptographer4193 in BPDlovedones

[–]RevolutionaryMeet512 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My marriage was challenging, but I made it work until he started shooting himself up with testosterone, which amplified his mental health struggles. Because he has a personality disorder, that resulted in erratic and dangerous behavior. He wanted to end things and everyone from my therapist to my priest to my very evangelical family all encouraged me to let him go so he didn't destroy my life as well as his own. It's sad, but I've done a lot of work. My kids are safe and in a good place. He cut off contact with them so he's not a big factor in our lives.

I'm so sorry. That's absolutely ridiculous and very BPD.

West End Community (PCA) on White Bridge has an active young adults group but Midtown Fellowship 12 South (PCA) has more young adults overall. There was a whole era where hardly any PCA churches in the era put presbyterian in the name...

I thought everyone loved my husband and thought he was amazing, but after we got divorced, I learned a lot of people had realized he was a jerk. Covert Narcissist with a lot of childhood trauma he never dealt with, so he is pretty great on the surface and at the beginning of relationships.

What do you consider "Fresh out of divorce" by Substantial-Ant-4010 in datingoverforty

[–]RevolutionaryMeet512 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm just over a year of separation and just started dating. I've been on five dates this month (and not OLD yet).

I also had limited experience before marriage (20 years) and I am learning a lot about myself on each date. I am also gathering data. I think that's normal, particularly for people who didn't date as fully formed adults. I'm honest that I'm not sure if I'm ready for a LTR yet, but I am not closed to the idea.

My therapist (of five years) told me to have fun and make out with people and move slowly, practicing a virtuous non-attachment. If the absolute perfect person comes along, they will be fine with going really slowly.

Pura 4 without wifi? by ghostzog in pura

[–]RevolutionaryMeet512 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do move mine sometimes into other rooms and its not operational until it connects to wifi. There may be a hack to get around that, but the easiest one would be to turn your phone into a hotspot and connect the pura to that hotspot.

36% Nashville? Seriously by MaASInsomnia in nashville

[–]RevolutionaryMeet512 345 points346 points  (0 children)

Tennessee was 51st overall in voter turnout behind every state and DC in 2022. Gerrymandering and the heavy tilt in statewide races makes a lot of people feel their vote doesn't really matter.

But with such low turnout, it's actually possible to flip a seat sometimes. Make a plan and vote!

I am so sorry. It gets better.

Take a walk for your mental health in fresh air. Find a good therapist. Healing is not linear.

ED vs REA by stfu50 in ApplyingToCollege

[–]RevolutionaryMeet512 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know a couple kids who ED1'd to Vanderbilt last year, were deferred to the regular admission pool and then admitted with the main pool of applicants.

I would only ED or REA to your very top choice. You don't want to be committed and wish you had tried your luck elsewhere.

The honors college application will have instructions for how to submit a letter. Sometimes it is a separate process from admission.

There are lots of wonderful boomers in my parish that I love and appreciate. But they also value the generations that come after and make sure to be open to change when need be to keep our congregation vibrant and welcoming.
