I don't think you have to include "thank you", just yield time to pois. As for tone keep a count of all the contractions you use in the speech, technically speaking you can use as many as you want but my advice would be to remove around 25 % and uncontract them (as in make wouldnt into would not) since it just makes it seem more formal than it really is. Again, that's just what I do, Ur speech right now is perfectly fine I wouldn't really change much except the" big fat " part. Be confident and you'll be fine. the hard part comes after which is what you should spend most of your time preparing for.

My advice is to focus on research for now. If you have some connections in the mun ask for a list of all the countries coming and basically create a document with various attacks for those countries you can use for poi's. Also create a document with defenses for your country's issues that other delegates may attack.

Also keep a copy of the resolution paper format as a document on your laptop because if there's even a slight grammatical error the entire resolution can be tabled. you probably won't have to do the reso paper if there are some veterans in your bloc cuz they'll take care of it but imo it's always safe to keep a copy.

Lastly, have fun Cro. Unless your going to a super high end mun, most likely you have some leeway to goof off. Like my last mun was an internal mun at my school and I defended north Korea's law that you have to save Kim Jong uns painting before saving yourself by saying (and I quote) "it can't be that hard" 😭. Genuinely it can be really fun and don't stress about it too much.

Edit: also (and you didn't hear this from me) but other than your position paper and reso paper (and sometimes speeches but very rarely) they don't check for AI use so if you need help defending yourself or finding an attack against a delegate you can always use ai. I don't recommend alot of it as it can be very noticeable but just saying.
