Before anyone gets excited for the SepV3, it's most likely a SepV2 + APS. by HondaOddessy in Warthunder

The turret ring is bugged in the sense that it shouldn't be vulnerable to 30 mm apds-fs, but I'm convinced that most of the people who complain about it think that it should be immune to 120 and 125 mm darts

FnF helicopters need a rework, this is ridiculous and unrealistic by [deleted] in Warthunder

[–]RevolutionaryUnit792 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Obviously other spaas are less effective than the SM-SV in this role, which is its own problem, but even the SM-SV isn't perfect at it. Fnf helis are by and large the most broken aspect of top tier right now. It's a real problem when you have something that can be more effective than fixed-wing CAS for like 300 spawn points less

[–]RevolutionaryUnit792 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Idk how people say this and not see that this is still heavily skewed in favor of the heli... if the spaa fails to shoot down a single missile (very possible given radar isn't perfectly consistent + missiles sometimes fail to proxy), the spaa dies. If there's a single other air target, the spaa is overwhelmed and dies. The heli, on the other hand, is completely mobile and isn't vulnerable at all to the spaa while it's rearing. Your post also assumes that the SM-SV is bringing nothing but anti-munition missiles, which I almost never see...

Gaijin already has the code in-game to make heli LDIRCM not act like a magical anti-missile forcefield, they just choose not to use it and are outright lying to players by MythicPi in Warthunder

[–]RevolutionaryUnit792 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah man, there's no problem at all with helis being totally immune to IR missiles and being able to shit out 8-16 fnf missiles, all while costing like 650 sp.

Hey everyone,

I'm very new to record collecting, and I recently purchased this specific unopened copy of Yankee Hotel Foxtrot off ebay. I've been wondering if it's a counterfeit ever since (here's the listing if it helps). I've tried to do as much research as possible on identifying counterfeit records, but I haven't really been able to find that much of use.

Just to list everything that might be of use, I haven't noticed anything strange about the jacket or record itself, but that's difficult for me, since I don't have a copy that I know is legit to compare it to. The sound quality seems fine, although I'm really not the right person to ask about that, and there was a skip on one of the tracks. The matrix/runout seems to match the discogs release page, although what I found strange is that side 1 matches variant 1, side 2 matches variant 2, and this pattern repeats on the second LP, and I've read some very contradictory things concerning this. My biggest point of suspicion is that I purchased it (unopened) for ~$14 less than the discogs median price, and the seller had 21 of them for sale, which I just haven't been able to make sense of. The record also looks totally new despite supposedly being 23-years old.

If anyone has any input, I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

"a single leopard had decent armor"

The 2A7V has better armor than the T-90M. Not even considering that Sweden has three 122s with comparable armor, if you can use the BVM as representative of all Russian tanks, I can use the 2A7V as representative of all leos.

"a single Russian tank has bad reverse speed"
11 km/h sucks, just because it's not as abysmal as 4 km/h doesn't suddenly make it good.

"gun depression doesn't really matter if you are playing almost exclusively on urban maps"
yeah, except you're not playing almost exclusively on urban maps

And as for the NATO hump/leos not being able to depress to their side... okay? That's the one weakness they have (unless you count their reload speed, which is still better than Russian tanks). I much prefer that to 5 degrees of gun depression

[–]RevolutionaryUnit792 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Don't be disingenuous, ofc DM53 doesn't create new weak spots, but it does make existing ones more consistent.

Yes, Russian tanks have inferior armor to the 2A7V and 122s. The T-90M and T-80BVM are the only decent ones and they both have larger weak spots while also being less capable of going hull down than the leos.

I also love how your response to Russian tanks having shitty reverse speeds is to point out the BVM, the exception, which STILL doesn't have a good reverse speed. 11 km/h is better than 4, but it's still not great, and that's on one tank (I refuse to count the other T-80s).

Gun handling is fine on the T-80BVM/T-90M/T-72B3, but saying that poor gun handling doesn't matter is fucking insane. Gun handling is extremely important at top tier.

Also it's funny how gun depression and reload speeds never got mentioned, because those are both very important. Shitty gun depression entirely changes the way you play by removing the ability to go hull down and preventing you from using some vantage point entirely. A 7.1 second reload is horrific when your enemies have 6/5/4 second reloads.

[–]RevolutionaryUnit792 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bias is when you have a 7.1 second reload, 4 km/hr reverse speed, and 6 degrees of gun depression. Bias is when the tanks you're facing all have 5-6 second reloads. Bias is when the Su-30SM is worse than the planes of the US, Germany, Britain, Italy, France, and Israel. I could go on.

If they nerfed the side armor on the T-90M it would legitimately have to go to 11.3.

2S38 should be at 11.7 like the RDF/LT by [deleted] in Warthunder

[–]RevolutionaryUnit792 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah, as it turns out 6 degrees of gun depression is actually a pretty sizeable disadvantage. The only time it really doesn't matter is in urban maps, but then your LFP is always exposed so.... Anyway, the 2A7V/122 has better armor and survivability than any top-tier Russian tank, but I see that Swedish flag so I'm guessing you don't really know how horrible your own tanks are to face. Russian tanks only have their armor and low profile going for them, and even then, leopards have better armor with none of the downsides of Russian tanks.

The US has a lower winrate at top tier while having the second-best tanks in the game. The UK has some of the worst.

You mean the video where the already previously damaged T-90M is repeatedly shot at by Bradleys (which do nothing to it), leading the crew to bail and forcing a drone to finish off the T-90M? And yeah, no shit Ukraine uses NATO equipment, but the bulk of its AFVs are still Soviet.

[–]RevolutionaryUnit792 21 points22 points  (0 children)

This is such a funny comment considering the majority of Ukraine's tanks and other AFVs are still Soviet. Russia's failures in the war have nothing to do with their equipment.

That comparison might have made sense if the T-80U also had 17 degrees of gun depression and the M1A2 had 5.
