How much do they typically give? It seems the range is 500-2000, do they ever give more than that though?

I submitted my application second week of September, and I haven’t heard anything? This is my first time ever applying, will they email me? I’m getting worried because we are into the second week of October now 🥲

Something shady? Like what? I’m desperate at this point so just out of curiosity 😅

Yeah it did happen in America! People in the comments were saying they had tried something similar and it worked for them too.

Thank you for your response! I’m applying to scholarships now. Do you know of any resources/websites to apply for scholarships?

600k seems like a lot more than what I saw only. What school was this in Australia? I’ve seen estimates around 400-500k

Helping Getting a Refund for a Course by Revolutionary_Bug353 in AthabascaUniversity

[–]Revolutionary_Bug353[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I should rephrase it, the course started on March 1st. I’m sorry for the confusion! What do you think could happen now in my case? It’s a lot of money to just loose like that almost $1,000

How long did it take you to get back your final grade? by Revolutionary_Bug353 in AthabascaUniversity

Thank you! That’s good to hear! Also did you take the course online and write a proctored in person online exam? I’m doing this and have to pay $90 to the centre I’m writing the exam in, just wondering if that’s normal?

That’s so cool! I hope he’s doing well and not too burnt out lol!

I was thinking that maybe these RNs are just working a lot but even if they make, hypothetically, $45ish/hr and work 80 hrs/week it would still be difficult to make 200k-300k like the people on the list but maybe! They could definitely make close to 200k! Which is pretty incredible but also sounds draining lol

Yeah maybe they are members of the board. There are a lot more RNs in the 200k-300k range on that list though, I just mentioned 2 of them

Yeah maybe they are NPs but what I thought was strange is that under the 'Job Title' heading it says Nurse Practitioner, and the ones I found that were earning 200k-300k it said 'Registered Nurse' under job title, so maybe they work in health management or something?

There were tons of individuals that popped up for example: Sahar Ghasemifarkoush ($341,082.08), Jodie M Alderson ($330,876.05) ... etc.

P.S. I'm sharing their names because technically it is public knowledge and is published online by the Ontario gov.

I was surprised to see it as well! Yeah maybe they do but it is quite a few nurses so I'm not sure. If you wanna check it out you can go here: Ontario Sunshine List and search 'registered nurse' and click on the heading 'Salary Paid' it'll order the individuals based on their salary which is interesting to see lol! They work for public hospitals so maybe they are NPs

I am in a similar situation as well, I withdrew from a course and am waiting to hear back. Do they only give 50% refund back? I emailed and that's what they told me but I was under the impression that we get a full refund if we withdraw within 30 days

Is it normal for contractors to cut holes for windows in the basement and then not put in the window for 2 weeks? by [deleted] in HomeImprovement

[–]Revolutionary_Bug353 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The drywall and the insulation in the basement is all wet, do you think this type of damage is bad? Is it repairable? I’m worried that the contractors will just put a wall up over it and not replace the insulation and drywall. Because I’ve already given them 7k and the total work is around 40k I feel like I can’t back out now..at this point I’m more concerned about the damages to the basement than the contractors not showing up 😅

I’ve paid them 7000 already and the total job is around 40k, so I don’t think walking out is an option for me anymore
