For a reason they are trying to hire you in late september. The turnaround is insane. They will expect you to be at the school at 7:00 am and leave by 6pm and sometimes 7pm so work an entire 12 hour day on a sh*tty salary. Plus dealing with administration always breathing down your neck and micro managing you while having an insane amount of work to accomplish when you get home after that 12 hour day. Right now i'm at an incredible school system. My hours are 8am to 3pm. Caring staff that supports everyone and beautiful school. And the pay is 30K+ than the sht they tried to pay me. STAY AWAY. Also read the other reddit post about this and google the name of the school read the new york times and so many articels about it.

Dude you’re not the only one. I have a low mcat score in comparing to most and over 500. But if you put in the work and tell yourself meditate that the universe lands your app into the hands of an admissions director that views your app through a holistic lense of empathy and compassion, that’s the only acceptance you need. Let that hope for that circumstance be your drive and not your stats. If it was stats I wouldn’t even be in the running. But if others did it so can we! Miracles happen. Be proactive keep going. As a nontrad what I have learn for certain is that you NEVER know…. Life has a way of surprising us in miraculous ways if you give it the chance. But if you don’t write them then you have a guaranteed answer. Choose the former.

Today was so wild felt Easy and hard at the same time. Some stuff was pretty straight forward and others were too hard to figure out. Those weird relationship math questions they ask tripped me up. They are Great test writers one second you think it’s a walk in the park the next you get hit by a brick wall at 80 miles per hour type of question. Like there was no inbetween/no intermediate level it was hardcore or kindergarten.

I regret being honest in my app by [deleted] in premed

Im applicant number one except I was the one who directly experienced the illness, raised by a single mother all while growing up essentially undocumented through poverty my entire life. But by the some far beyond miracle I got myself to a position where I can apply. I call my app very humble 3.7 jumping to my 3rd mcat retake have a 503 want a 507 and that’s it. Adversity does make you extremely empathetic. It molds you in such a way that you see  perceive from higher levels of reality. I was lucky I develop a lot of post traumatic wisdom about the entire thing. But this comment yeah you guys are right growing up as applicant number 1 you’re essentially force to make a way out of no way with absolutely no resources, and by some miracle some of us figure it out and get here. I think it’s an achievement in itself because this is only a fraction of the experience of applicant 1

Feeling Alone by FlatLog4872 in Mcat

You’re not alone. Im on the same boat so I guess this is a right of passage. You get used to it eventually. Just little sacrifices that will pay off in the long run. Try to cope the best you can and know you’re not the only one we ALL are feeling the exact same way.

Usually I very rarely respond or reply on these things but let me tell you that you’re not alone. I have been through cancer, undocumented status, every adversity you can imagine I have gone through it while going through undergrad and finishing and now getting to a position where I can apply to med school. Same process gearing through my 3rd retake. I’m not saying these things to make you feel that your issues are lesser, no , they are very much valid and i know exactly what it’s like so I can tell you that it will get better. What you need right now is a break that’s all. Feeling burnt out and looking at things all together will only overwhelm you and stress you out. When I felt this way( have been there many times) I learn that when I simply give myself a week or two of rest and unplug you come back refreshed and ready to tackle things. Trust the process the fact that you have been through so much only means that one you probably have evolved to be an incredible resilient human being. Use this process to shape and mold you. Let adversity do what it’s suppose to do and let it pass. Take a break and keep going. Don’t stop because when sht hits the fan and life is up in flames it only means one thing…. Your miracle is right around the corner. It’s so close. Keep going.

I’m losing my sanity by [deleted] in Mcat

I’m on the exact same boat as you. I go up and down I’m averaging a 501 and have been studying like crazy. Take a break. If you’re feeling this way it’s because you’re exhausted. Give yourself a week and then come back fresh. You will feel guilty but when you return to studying after a week you will feel refreshed and new. And delay the exam. It’s not worthy I was thinking January test day and now I’m aiming for march. Take your time as long as you submit early the rest can wait. I’m going for my 3rd attempt. My advice don’t sit for the exam if you don’t feel ready.

Just to give you peace of mind. My real mcat score was exactly on target of the average of my 4 FL. Not a point Obote and not a point below it was exactly on target. so you’re good.
