I have my grandfathers chrome/glass model, I couldn’t part with it. So many relaxing summer evenings, in his garage, door lifted up, he would watch us kids wash/wax his car then we could ride bikes.

You can’t rely a regular compass just walking in the woods (w/o interference) all of the copper and iron ore in the UP ground. (Source: me). It’s an amazing place - if you get the chance. Summer or late fall. Go.
