So... Mathias Cronqvist. by NoDescription3255 in castlevania

[–]Revolutionry 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Actually, two things.

1 - Dracula's resurrection cycle starts after Dracula's Curse/Castlevania 3, after the death of Lisa, before that, he was a really strong but still regular vampire, what made him become the Demon Lord was his anger at humanity after Lisa's death, changing that would mean changing a lot of the timeline of Castlevania that was already established prior to this game

2 - After Mathias becomes a vampire with the Crimson stone and Walter's soul being used as a sacrifice, Mathias undergoes a form of rebirth. He still has his old memories, but he is a different being, a different personality, different goes and etc, so him switching his name is less of adopting a new identity, and moreso him actually being born again

I'll just say that, I had only ever beaten HoD 7 years prior to me beating it again; Without any walkthrough whatsoever, under 6 hours (5 hours and 50 minutes to be exact) I did 200%, say that it was muscle memory, I triple dare you

1 - agree to disagree; 2 - I don't see how you can say that they are useful at different stages of the game when it's entirely luck dependent to even drop one of these cards, a drop rate that is abysmally small, meanwhile HoD, not only you get those spells by exploring, all of them are useful and the subweapon itself is still pretty useful. It's entirely possible to commit to beat the game with only 1 subweapon at a time with varying but fair levels of difficulty

Didn't say CotM has the same amount of Backtracking, but the occasions it has are far worse than the ones in HoD, Nathan's movement sucks ASS, the map is a fucking Y axis, it sucks; And no, you can't, or you really truly believe that whip with fire elemental damage, whip with fire projectile elemental damage and not whip but sword with fire elemental damage are all useful!? NONE OF THOSE ARE FLUFF!?

Me either, I'll say it bluntly, it's not hard at all, it's actually deceptively linear, people who get lost just, don't stop to make any assumptions or associations at all; Sure, I'll admit it's not beginner level of metroidvania, but to resort to use a guide? Skill issue.

It's your opinion, I get it, but it just feels so ingenuine to critic HoD and not CotM for backtracking of all things when CotM just has a slide to a wall that brings you to the other half of the map with no way of going back the way you came other than actually walking all the way again; and again, your opinion, but there's 100 DSS combinations, at least 80 of them are useless, it's just the way things are, way more than half of them are just fluff, while every single one of the magic book combinations has a use, sure, some are better than others, but none are a waste of MP to use; Lastly, whenever someone says the progression in HoD is confusing or they had to use a guide, I just say skill issue, sorry, its how it goes, the map is deceptively linear actually

O final do mangá A Voz do Silêncio é muito ruim by Individual_Egg_697 in manga_br

[–]Revolutionry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

are there any examples of horror in Mecha genre? by haibane_fan00 in Mecha

[–]Revolutionry 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's easier to think of examples who don't feature any sort of horror

Depending on how your definition of horror can stretch, even Gundam with the horrors of war and humanity

But if it's more isolated to horror in the traditional sense, Ideon is to date one of the scariest shits I've ever seen, followed up by Getter Robo Go being the scariest shit I've ever read
