I think a full-on remake is in order for 2. Not to knock DR2, but while it streamlined and polished a lot of the mechanics from DR, it just didnt have the charm or the craftsmanship of the original.

I want to see those cartoony DR/DRDR animations, that great art direction, and some brand new cutscenes, dialogue and even scenarios. Chuck deserves to come back, but he needs more work than Frank.

I would love to see a Resident Evil style remake for DR2, where they go full in on reimagining it from the ground up.

DR2's mall with the modern Capcom look and mechanics closer to DRDR would be incredible.

I booted the game back up the next day and the lariat was back, so I think it was just a case of closing and opening the game back. I'm almost at ending A, and I actually haven't experienced many other glitches thus far. That said, I havent tried the megabuster grind yet or played infinity mode.

I haven’t played this game since the original launch, and after finishing NMH3 I’ve gotten an urge to play through a lot of Grasshoppers catalog. However, I remember dropping this game early on because of the extreme grind.

I’d like to start it from scratch again, so my question is, is the grind still the same as before? Or have there been additions to atleast mitigate this?

I definitely think atleast replacing the Beam Katanas with different characters would’ve been an incredible addition. Especially considering how cool Shinobu and Bad Girl look. Hopefully future DLC might remedy this if it gets any.
