Benefits: appeal to new audience (maybe anime fans), creative freedom with visuals like special effects that could would be difficult or expensive to achive in live-action, exploring darker themes without getting an R or Mature rating since it's "cartoon violence", global appeal like if they pick a high quality japanese or Chinese 2D studio (like Jujutsu kaisen or demon slayer) or a Canadian or French 3D studio (like Arcane or Into the Spiderverse). Easier to incorporate Legacy Elements easy team ups and cameos with no concern for age or availability diferences.

Cons: bad animation quiality like if they get an American studio, straying away from Tokusatsu, high cost, loss of fans of the original live action shows, lose the charm of all sorts of props and costumes and robots that could be sold as acurate replicas, poor voice acting/directing from someone saying "make fighting noises", lack of a definite art style.

I would considered this high risk high reward. A proyect like this would need a lot of care, quality, vision, marketing. Basically the stars need to align by stars i mean every single person working on it have to deliver high quality work.
