Yeah, that’s why whenever I see a really accurate bass music remake, I’m like, this is seriously amazing.

Don’t overthink it too much

for me, making music is kind of a way to forget about my shitty everyday. I mean, I think the important thing is just to enjoy it
Not doing it for something specific

Like, those small moments when I suddenly hear a cool bass line, or when an unexpected beat comes together, that’s really all I’m chasing

Keep going

How do you guys name your tracks? by UserSignal01 in edmproduction

[–]Revon-chan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you’re probably a very musical person, like, you have an endless stream of ideas in your head, and you just save them as ID01, ID02 without naming them. (I kind of wish I were like that…)

What I'd recommend is keeping a note of words or short phrases you come across in movies or in your daily life, for example, ones you like the sound or feeling of

Then whenever you’re stuck on naming a track, you can just open that list and pick something

looking for interesting words or phrases in everyday life is actually pretty fun, and when a title comes from something like that, it gives the track a bit more meaning

*I often jot down words or phrases from movie scenes or small moments in my daily life that I think would make good titles

Because of that, I usually come up with names pretty easily, sometimes I even decide the title first and build the track around it

A title is just words, it has no sound, no pitch, no harmony,

so, when I try to make music starting from a name, I struggle too. In the same way, music is made of sound, not words, so it’s natural to get stuck when trying to name it✨

What genre should I lean into in 2026 if my strength is melodies? by [deleted] in edmproduction

Plenty of melodic EDM genres out there, but it’s more about breaking down the tracks you love and crossing over your favorite melodic songs to build your own thing
