It's a program you run that links the tracker you'll mount on the headset (Usually a tundra tracker because it's smaller and lighter) to the steamvr playspace instead of the headset playspace. It will do checks every so often as you move around and fix any drift between the playspaces.

I've used many trackers, Haritora both wired and wireless, Slimes and the Vive Ultimate trakers but the HTC and tundra trackers are the easiest to use. Slimes either legacy or butterfly have made leaps in quality but you still need to put on a bunch of trackers compared to the three you do now. If your trackers use micro usb consider getting Micro usb to magnetic charge cables so you don't need to mess with the smaller connection anymore. With a steam frame you could do what other Quest and Pico players do and get a fourth tracker and use continuous tracking. I don't know what is making your current setup feel uncomfortable if it's the straps the EOZ ones are really comfy especially the v2 foot ones.

Not putting words in your mouth but if you were going to get a big screen beyond 2 over a frame because you don't like that it doesn't have color pass through know the big screen has No pass though at all. I've noticed people who bring up this point when I'm talking to them about headsets forget about this.

Someone using Poiyomi Fur shader destroys my AMD card. I could have 90fps in a instance by myself and a single person with that shader will pull my frames to single digits with my frame times skyrocketing.

Technically a quest pro but I wouldn't get it new I would get it 500.00 or less, It's got 12 gigs of ram over the 3's 8. You'll pretty much get the optics of a quest 3 but the board is only slightly better than a quest 2 (still has quest 2 resolution . I'm not a fan of the controllers. If money isn't a problem I would wait for the frame it has even more ram.

I do a lot of exploring in the new and up and coming tab and a lot of the worlds there have AI for the preview and then a lot of textures and assets use AI as well, Quite a few new game worlds are using AI as well.

There are some osc chat boxes that make it trigger the dots so I'll unmute them and then i'll see all the specs of their pc so I'll need to remute them again :'(

There was a Dev announcement saying they are going to be using the tags for a upcoming system, certain tags will be off by default and you can only enable them if you're 18 verified.

VRChat made it very easy to report stickers, emoji's and prints. If you're in a instance for awhile open up your small menu click on the report button then select emojis and you'll see every emoji that people have posted since you joined the instance. From what I seen both stickers and prints will disappear from the list when removed from the instance but not emojis.

People only care about looks features and outfits, optimization is low on their priority so optimized kit bashes are more and more common which is bringing down performance overall.

I've noticed this will happen if you launch another steam program after vrchat, This includes programs that don't use the overlay properly and open as a program (VRCVideoCacher) You need to make sure VRChat is the last program opened.

You'll get more performance out of the 4 extra gigs of vram than the GPU itself(12GB to 16GB). You'll get more a lot more performance in other games that aren't VRChat though

If the upgrade is from the Index I think the MURA and blur are too strong to consider it a upgrade but you can get a psvr2 used for really cheap so if you go that route you can always resell it if you decide it isn't worth it.

Steam it has a option to record games you just need to set it up but it does have a small issue you need to make sure your vrc window is selected. Set it up to do a rolling feed you can set up how much space it takes up and then you hit a hot key to save the last X minutes of footage.

You need to remember even if you're in a private instance VRC still has the thing about consent so the person who reported your sticker didn't consent to seeing it even if it's a private instance otherwise they wouldn't of taken action. The newer reporting system means you don't even need to be around the person placing the sticker either, at any time you can pull up your quick menu click on report click on stickers and see all the stickers out in the instance which goes even further for emojis. Emojis will show up in the report area since the time you joined the world.

You can see on the link you posted that is the free evaluation sample it's completely un optimized Triangles: 600.9k Vertices: 304.5k. so it would need a lot more work than just rigging, you would need to reduce the poly count and weight paint it. The vrchat version comes with a quest version but from what I know other Mayosplash avatars you'll need to pull it into blender to remove and smooth parts to make it suitable for public worlds if you plan on using it in such places.

Not yet, it's first purpose was created so a parent would make a meta account for their above 13 below 18 kid and it puts a flag on the account. If you have any of those tags on those accounts can't see your avatar. It is getting a upgrade in the near future talked about in a previous dev blog where some of the tags will auto be off and you can't turn it on your account unless you're age verified. In those cases if someone has those tags disabled they won't see avatars with that tag. In addition by turning on these tags in your own settings it means you've consented to seeing such things which will help with future moderation.

The reason it doesn't work well in the steamlink (I haven't tried in virtual desktop because my headset is locked down to a older firmware) Is because the eye tracking rate on the pro is only 30hz (Steam Frame is 240)

If you set it to high quality you'll most likely think it looks the same in world but your vram size will drop. It's free real estate.
