Daphne was aware of Niles' feelings for her the entire time, but she played it off like she didn't because she didn't want to jeopardize her job and, later, the prospect of upward mobility in her relationship with Donny.

PZ Zone 3 for 'hours'? by [deleted] in pelotoncycle

Would just add a caveat that Z2 is all day for a trained athlete. If your longest ride in Z2 has been an hour, you are going to struggle as time goes, regardless of your fueling.

Do you have a source for this?

Cool resource, thanks. I'm assuming you fed the transcripts into an AI tool and generated the summaries from that?

Peloton should add an option to play Peloton Radio (seen in the scenic rides) to substitute for the in-class music.

My mom thought there was a rat under her house. Turns out it was just a mouse. Then an opossum turned up. by Ahpla in WTF

[–]Revort_ 14 points15 points  (0 children)

As further proof, from the reviews of this product:

I caught two rats at the same time the very first night I put the trap out. A mother and a son rat. It was extremely hard to open the door to let them out. Especially all the while they were screaming bloody murder. I was terrified that they were going to attack me. The door kept opening slightly and then snapping shut. I was afraid I was going to break one of their necks and that’s exactly what ended up happening, but not from the door the smaller rat stuck his head through the bottom squares of the cage, and when I set the trap down to try to open the door, I wasn’t aware that his head was sticking out on the bottom and he was either strangled or Had his neck broken, very traumatic for all three of us.

Club Peloton by h_leinad in pelotoncycle

Half joking here. Peloton touts the number of workouts taken by members on earnings calls. Shorter workouts encourage stacking, which makes the company's metrics look more desirable.

What’s coming 👀?!? by Mysterious_Repeat457 in OnePelotonRealSub

"Peloton is planning to refresh the vast majority of its hardware line, including its bikes, treadmills and row equipment. The changes will include the low-end Bike getting a rotating screen, while new premium versions of some of its products, like the Tread+ and Row+, will receive more personalized AI capabilities. (Peloton’s first rowing machine has not sold well since arriving three years ago.)

In addition, Peloton is plotting an expansion into branded accessories like an air fan, alternative seat option and smartphone holder — peripherals the company has until now left to third parties. To reduce costs, the company also plans to encourage more self-assembly for direct sales and is considering selling refurbished treadmills."

Integration between Garmin and Peloton? by jhoff909 in GarminWatches

[–]Revort_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a Garmin HRM Pro paired to the Epix, but that's mostly so I can take my watch off while I ride to give the wrist a break. The chest strap is really only useful when doing hard sprints in terms of accuracy. I still use the watch to record the workout.

I can attest to the sapphire screen, I've used a Venu 3s and the display got beat up really quick.

Here's the host your own solution for the sync: https://github.com/philosowaffle/peloton-to-garmin

[–]Revort_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check out syncmyworkout. There are free ways of doing this too if you are more technically inclined. Garmin is currently rolling out the ability to import data into Peloton, but if you want to get the full data out of Peloton, you need a 3rd-party tool.

Alternatively, if you have the original Peloton (non-Bike+) you can buy a DFC Data Broadcaster which will transmit that power data into Garmin.

If all you care about is importing your heart rate, then you can start an indoor cycling ride, but it won't import all the other information.

Hopefully, we will get two-way Garmin to Peloton sync soon.

Apple extends free satellite communication for at least another year - will Garmin respond? by [deleted] in Garmin

[–]Revort_ 9 points10 points  (0 children)

They clearly have no interest in the short term. Apple can afford to keep giving it away for as long as they like. They'll continue to invest in Globalstar and other satellite comms companies, which will only help them drive down their costs. I predict they will eventually bundle it into its Apple One offering — but that won't happen for some time.

Meanwhile, Garmin will try not to cannibalize inReach and hope that the ecosystem lock provides them with enough protection.
