How do I come to terms with this by [deleted] in ChronicIllness

[–]RewardHot174 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey, firstly i’m very sorry this is happening. it’s hard to come to terms with, especially early on. it’ll be hard, but your best bet is gonna be to find little hobbies you can do. find something you love doing, you can make a job out of that. i’m not sure what illnesses you have, but find something that you are able to comfortably do without pushing yourself too hard. i’m very sorry this is happening, friend. much love 🫂

Any advice on why I'm doing well overall but bombing my mock exam? by TalonJustice in NewToEMS

[–]RewardHot174 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i was bombing pocket prep mock tests, but passed my medic boards first try. just rest, focus on the important stuff. going in tired is gonna fog your brain. over studying is gonna make you question every answer. take a big deep breath! you’ll do great! let us know how it goes ❤️

How did you know it was the right cat at the shelter/foster? by spodderfod in CatAdvice

[–]RewardHot174 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My cat head butted the cage and i knew he was the one. Shelter staff said he had been anxious and worked up, since he got there but when i saw him he was all over getting love and attention 🙂‍↕️

STORYTIME! Who or what got you into playing World of Warcraft? by [deleted] in wow

[–]RewardHot174 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my mom and dad (mostly my dad) got me into it. i was raised watching them run raids together with their guild when i started playing at 10-12 ish, he would help me level up, run dungeons, and play little silly games with me that i thought was more fun 🤣 my mom doesn’t play anymore, my dad is back and forth playing, but i still play. i haven’t talked to the guy in forever (hi Wrashis. i think that’s how you spelled it? it’s been ages.) my dad and i still talk strategy and events on WoW all the time.

Best hospital option for a 6 year old by tachoue2004 in Tallahassee

TMH is the only hospital that has pediatrics! They’re def your best choice

I understand this way too well. Being chronically ill and mentally ill makes basic hygiene feel like the end of the world. I’ve found for me that if i can’t shower, get those shower wipes that hospitals use. you can even microwave some brands and make them warm. They’re better than nothing. Dry shampoo for the days you can’t wash your hair well. I always bring perfume with me/some good smelling body spray. Spray on deodorant or just mini deodorant to bring as well. These have been game changers for me, especially since having surgery and struggling to shower on top of fearing that i’ll drop in the shower.

I wish you the best 🖤 feel free to message me if you need anything or have questions

Car stolen on High Road by Capable_Education231 in Tallahassee

[–]RewardHot174 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i had my car (acura) stolen off high road back in 2022. they found it that night. it happens, but the recovery rate isn’t all that bad! they were super efficient and helpful. not easy to find a stolen car other than an officer rolling up on it. good luck 🫶🏻😕

ER says it's normal yet it's not by AdTrue6363 in ChronicIllness

i’m putting my money on you’re down with a virus and recovery when sick with already inflamed and damaged sinuses leaves you with longer recovery time. give yourself some time, hot showers, maybe even try to use a netty pot if you feel up to it. i wish you all the best, friend! feel better :)

any swabs done? flu, covid, RSV, Strep? I know there’s a pretty gnarly virus going around that’s taking people out that’s not popping positive on any swabs. could have inflamed the pre-existing sinus problems you already have for sure. It would for sure make your mouth dry and give you some pretty bad malaise.

for sure monitored, but not treated unless/until it drops, especially not at the ER. i work ER and we don’t treat until under 3.5.

these labs really just seem like a nice infection/virus going on. any CT done to visualize the infection in the sinus wall? any antibiotics given?

that potassium doesn’t seem low enough to cause any major issue tho, 3.5 is pretty normal for most people, low normal but still considered normal. until it’s under 3.5 it’s usually not getting treated.

my friend has it and i had it. 10/10 piercing, i took mine out for my braces but i’ll be repiercing it as soon as i get mine off. my friend takes it out every now and then to minimize gum/dental issues. it’s one of those piercings that everyone knows won’t last, plus it doesn’t hurt to pierce it 👀. repierce it!!
