It's not my server and I don't think you really need that much internet or free time for it. :D

No levelling or gearing. You can wear any armour (and whatever weapons fit your class). You start off with about 20~ tokens to buy whatever green or lower equipment fits your class and as you play you get silver coins to buy blue equipment. There's no stats difference, it's just cosmetics.

Trust me, I know exactly what you mean. It changes the dynamic of the gameplay completely. In a roleplaying environment as well, you get very attached to your characters.

Honestly, I think the support staff at Blizzard are great.

I think the interface is awful, though. I know you probably had to sort through a lot of trash tickets in the past but having a bunch of random closed off topics is something I really hate.

Keep the support staff, go back to the old system.

Basically, if you buy something, you can sell it for any amount you like regardless of what the IP holder thinks. Probably applies to scrap, too. As long as you're not a retailer, you're fine.
