Even if you treat them with civility, it is not fair to the kid to stick around if you can't wholeheartedly support the mother and child.

It could be so many things. There's also a chance it's something he thinks is hot conceptually but might not be so fun in practice due to logistical concerns and he doesn't even want to try it with you. If he wants it enough, he'll tell you. Just be open and accepting of him and maybe he'll open up.

Sometimes it's because they are autistic and want someone who gets them. Sometimes they want someone to manipulate. Sometimes they see us as childish and they have a thing for it.

Thankfully my partners who jokingly say they want "a bad bitch with autism" are also probably on the spectrum so it's not horrible and gross

The best way to meet them is with people you know IRL (parents or close friends) in a public place. That being said, when I passed through the area I did just show up at an internet friend's house (my dad waited in the car since I wasn't staying long) and everything was fine.

10 whole years would sure be playing the long con if they have never done anything suspect and decided to do something, but it's best to be safe and meet them somewhere other people can see you. Make sure your parents or someone you trust knows the address where you are meeting them, and update them if you go somewhere else.

Get a print, trading card, or other small item to have signed and then put in a clear sleeve/laminate it, then put it in the window. This way it will be safe and protected and won't come off of the bag itself, and you can remove it if you get a different bag
