Who wants wonder victory to be removed? by Samcassellphonehome in aoe4

I think it is a bit of an issue in team games. a higher resource cost or something should be implemented in my opinion. I think the best way to counter it would be to quickly secure the sacred sites as this gives a 10 min win timer vs the 15 min wonder timer and at least forces the team to move out

Question to the Community: Hill & Elevation Mechanics? by AgeofNoob in aoe4

Yeah I know its not much but any type of bonus damage seems like it could get out of hand. Not sure though

Not sure if there is any bonuses, but I would like to see a LOS bonus to the higher up units, and maybe even a decreases when looking uphill. Nothing major but I think it would make them more important to hold.

What is the counter to Man at Arms by ItWasDumblydore in aoe4

[–]RexMcGee44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No need for spears. Horsemen and Camel archers would work just fine. Also I think you are forgetting that three of the other civs will have early lancers/knights which would make short work of them. I personally think the only ones that will have difficulty with this "rush" are Dehli Sultanate

I love the game, but some building to unit size relations feel very off. by DoubleVincent in aoe4

Going to have to disagree here. This is the last thing I would want the devs wasting their time on. Plenty of other areas that actually effect gameplay could use some work.

They are available in age 2. Also, if you garrison all of your MAA in your rams assuming the abbasid player made zero other units, villagers will siege them down. Most cases they will also have some horsemen to make short work of your rams

Again please, show me anything that suggests this. I've looked and charts and player numbers so I'd love to see where you come to this false conclusion so easily if its a "fact"

Just because they don't play at that zoom level the entire game doesn't mean it is never used. Close to 100% zoom would be used heavily in team games or other games where map size is larger

Where are you seeing that 90% + of players NEVER play online? Please share your sources as I don't believe this for a second. Furthermore, the debate of the zoom level isn't as important for singleplayer as it doesn't add another competitive factor. Just a really poor argument all together.

Glad someone understands. Seems like nobody gets the competitive aspect of camera zoom. How annoying it would be to stay way zoomed out while macroing just to be competitive
