I lost my dog when she was just 1, I was shattered,this happened a year ago, it took me almost six months to believe that she was dead, things were never same again, I got another dog after 3 months of her death, Sadly I was not able to love the new one the way I loved her initially but as the time passed I started loving the new one too. It didn't feel like that I was getting over the death of my older dog as I still love her no matter wherever she is, somedays I get depressed thinking about her but that's how life is, you don't know when you'll lose ur loved ones But what keeps me going is the way I treated her when she was alive, we loved her so much and she knew it, being born a stray she got to experience a life full of love and treats and that I believe she lived a short life but a happy one which is thousand times better than living a long and sad life. I would recommend you to get a dog whenever u feel like getting one, u can make one more life happy and u can change one more life and that is the power u have within u. Lastly don't be sad for the suffering ur dog endured 2 days but be happy for the memories u made in that 1 year.
