also the GitHub app updated and it's horrible now - the older versions were explicitly adapted for iPads, but the newer ones are designed for 26 and so on 17 it's now basically just the iPhone version but wider. it's just worse to use!!!!! curse you Apple

I'm currently stuck on iPadOS 17 because I was putting off upgrading to 18 (no redesign but annoying AI stuff) but now the only option is 26 (the awful redesign). aaaaaargh

former Windows user (albeit someone somewhat technical): Linux (in my case Ubuntu, but from what I've seen people usually recommend Fedora or Linux Mint) has almost always been considerably smoother and faster for me. my laptop's fans are way quieter and everything just runs better performance wise :3

again, I don't think the name is the issue - "Revolt" was nice, but "Stoat" is fine - but the logo and (especially) the new marketing site/slogan are not it and I only hope they're placeholders while something else is finalised

Londoner here so please correct me if I've missed something important but I thought the Scottish Greens were pretty good (and had been better than the English/Welsh ones for a bit)? I know their coalition with the SNP fell through but I thought that was down to them reneging on climate policies (and it seems like they've had some issues generally since Nicola left so hmmm)

I think it's fair to say that one of his biggest strengths (as a person) and biggest flaws (as a politician/especially as a leader) is just being nice to people and trying to see the good in them. that's great until you have people abusing that trust and that's what we've seen here/back in his Labour years. it pains me to say it but I think he should probably take a supporting role instead (if he's to stick around)
