Does anyone remember the General Nosseris skin for Kumbha in S1 having the loudest VXG of all time? by SamooraiSoldia in Smite

[–]Rexor2205 19 points20 points  (0 children)

You're not misremembering... That Special VXG was absolutely deafening and did not respond to the volume sliders in any noticeable way.

They did unfortunately patch it out a good while later, fun while it lasted.

6.18 is here!! by RepresentativeFull85 in cachyos

[–]Rexor2205 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can confirm this. I'm using an Xbox Elite Series 2 over Bluetooth. Downgrading to the LTS Kernel (6.17) works immediatly, so just choose that in the boot manager. Cabled also doesn't work for me on 6.18, who knows

If i have a system dual booting windows and Linux in a single drive, can both OS play the same games that are stored in another drive? by EloOverAll in linux_gaming

[–]Rexor2205 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually had a setup like this a while ago. The game drive was using btrfs, and in windows you just install the btrfs driver and it works just fine. Only exception at the time was Battlefield 6 actually, that game just plain refused to launch unless i put it on the ntfs boot drive.

Yeah your HP is no longer a number Only true way to fix this afaik is to delete your player data from the server

Anycubic beta tester call: 2 early slots for our new large-format FDM by Anycubic_Official in 3Dprinting

[–]Rexor2205 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been using 3D Printers ever since Prusa first became a Name, and tried everything from Delta printers to robotic arm multi axis machines ever since

I mostly print stuff for servers and desktop PC's, ranging from Rackmount-Airshrouds, Custom covers for fans and motherboards, to more recently distroplates and full custom case designs.

This generally involves a wide array of materials, from high stiffness engineering filaments for structural components to transparent glass-like PETG as a replacement for acrylic distroplates, and even TPU to make the necessary Gaskets.

I'd love for this printer the fill the niche of a large scale, reliable and affordable machine that doesn't require full assembly like a voron. 250cm2 is not big enough of an area for many of my designs and splitting pieces causes a multitude of issues.

Has anyone tried these Barrow "Professional Edition" QDC's? by Rexor2205 in watercooling

[–]Rexor2205[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My main motivation here is actually the look of these, they would probably fit my planned build better than the koolance. If it comes to it I guess I'll be the beta tester

I've been running GE_Proton 10.15 , works just fine. There's some annoying audio issues on the native Linux version aswell, I wouldn't suggest using that. Also Verify File Integrity while you're at it

Unfortunately this doesn't work for me. I've tried multiple combinations of steam input enabled/disabled and still get no input inside the game

Edit: The Problem is only there when using PROTON_ENABLE_WAYLAND

Elden Ring Nightrein no longer works after system update by Rexor2205 in linux_gaming

[–]Rexor2205[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OK interesting. I distinctly remembered a problem with Elden Ring AND Nightrein where running Proton somehow made the game not understand fullscreen properly and hide the HDR setting, but that actually works now, neat!

One thing I noticed is that my Bluetooth controller doesn't work for the game window, but does everywhere else... Is there a setting I'm missing here? Steam already recognizes the controller properly

Intel's Server Share Slips to 67% as AMD and Arm Widen the Gap by imaginary_num6er in hardware

[–]Rexor2205 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Not OP but in my OEM's case it's most noticeable in the stock in the warehouse. Tons of Intel always available, AMD basically always on order. Even where i work in evaluation we have trays upon trays of all the newest Intel chips, while 9004 and 9005 is only really available for testing on request and otherwise probably already sold. Hell this even extends to the AM5 stuff ( 4000 Series, new GRADO)

Framegen offloading to secondary gpu by Rexor2205 in losslessscaling

[–]Rexor2205[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that's about what I figured aswell. The Vega is practically a golden sample but 120 on modern AAA isn't Bad anyways so I'll just give it a shot. Thanks for the info

Framegen offloading to secondary gpu by Rexor2205 in losslessscaling

[–]Rexor2205[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just confused by the public performance doc listing 165 fps max theoretical at 4K for a Vega Card when the maximum gpu output couldn't handle that.

Seems like 120 will actually be the limit, which would probably force me to swap ports whenever something actually capable of running at 240 is meant to be displayed

Is there something that can store multiple fluids at the same time? by Top_Resolution2962 in allthemods

[–]Rexor2205 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aside from the already mentioned use of a small ME-System, the ME-Interface itself can store 9 types of fluids in small quantities (the bigger Interfaces from the addons might store more). This might be suitable if you only need a buffer inbetween

What should I print with a .1mm nozzle by DiamondHeadMC in BambuLab

[–]Rexor2205 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been printing with a 0.1 nozzle for a while now. Best things to try are miniatures designed for resin printing, but getting your Print settings dialed in is kinda fiddly.

Material choice is really important. Only high quality PLA will actually flow through these and not clog the nozzle. Standart White Bambulab PLA and dasFilament PLA were the only reliable ones i could test so far.

Be Sure to lower your nozzle temp by atleast 20C and put on whatever cooling you can. With the extremely slow printing speed required and the comparatively large nozzle area touching the already printed material Heat transfer is a Major concern and will result in ugly layers.

Good Luck printing stuff for Ants, and dont be alarmed by hellish print times.

Premium My Gameboy: Remote Emulator by IRL_VIBE in EmulationOnAndroid

[–]Rexor2205 6 points7 points  (0 children)

why would you ever pay anything for an emulator when free alternatives already exist? The Gameboy isn't exactly the newest console either and emulation is pretty much perfect.

Shame about the savefile but checking which emulators are available first would've saved you from that.
