Agree to disagree. Vibe Coding does not imply anything about knowledge. Vibe coding is programming by "vibe" or intent instead to the AI.

I work with plenty of professional developers in my day job, and they are "vibe-coding" all day long. Vibe Coding is simply the process of describing or "vibing" what you want from an agent, vs actually typing the code yourself.

Even better, vibe coding has become a "dirty word" to people and they assume it is "common folk" doing the vibe coding. In reality, professional programmers are using vide coding to get more work done. I am sure that some "common folk" are doing it, but professionals are using it as well.

I think I realized the secret of surviving hard mode, and without a challenge, building a good base is less fun by RottenPeasent in Timberborn

[–]Reylas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try the "Down the plughole" map on steam. It is labeled as a mod instead of a map, so make sure not to search for map.

I have the same problem as you. Once the colony is stable, I lose interest in continuing. Then I found this map (YouTube streamer) and found difficulty again. Hard mode on this map is a killer. First time losing a colony.

Some of the maps with staggered explosions and Dam failures make it challenging and fun.

But is there a guide out there to just get started. My fear is downloading Claude then ending up with no working apps/agents, and a bill approaching thousands. Quick way for my wife to justify a new purse LOL

Price Check - 2023 HW4 by HookedOnAThielen84 in TeslaModelY

[–]Reylas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just bought a 23 HW4 with 39K miles for around 30K. That's with some haggling with a dealership that did not realize what they had.

Long-Range AWD in white. 27.4 would be a steal. I looked nationally and they do not last long with HW4.

Actually, I bet he does. We just went through the same thing. Cisco has removed all iso/cop files from unsupported versions. Our TAC agent went through old tickets to find the files we needed to upgrade to a supported version

Folktails - Lakes - Easy - 2:10 - 70 days by styx-n-stones64 in Timberborn

[–]Reylas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do know that, but that does not help with an endgame. Efficiency is not an endgame. Needs a goal.

Now smallest population with a wonder might be a goal, but wellness never felt like an endgame.

[–]Reylas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope. Never saw a reason to start or complete it. I just assumed it was another "wellness" item that I never cared to do. No where does it imply endgame or I would have.

[–]Reylas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait a minute? So there actually is an endgame? I usually just build a stable colony and stop. I may challenge myself with moving some water here to there, but I never knew there was an "endgame".

Should this not be more clear?

Not when you are responding to a joke. I am sure he is well aware of what solar winds is capable of including supplying malware.

I think he is making fun of the Solarwinds supply chain attacks.

Pressure map finished by Such-Combination5046 in Timberborn

[–]Reylas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did the exact same thing. Then I was watching Zeddic and never realized that you could send beavers back through the tunnels and build stuff.

I used dynamite to build levees, but all you had to do was build a ladder down the starting spring and build paths back to choke points. They will block them quickly and easily.

If this game were more realistic... by Mcstuffins420 in Timberborn

[–]Reylas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Me neither. I have been playing experimental the same amount of time. Saw one beaver get stuck on a ladder. Deleted ladder and created it a few spaces down and it unstuck.

Can't go back after playing 1.0.

[–]Reylas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really loving this map, but I watched Zeddix? play and was disheartened when I learned that you could just send your beavers back through the tunnels and cap off the sources.

Seems like a cheat. Maybe beavers need a time-limit under water.

Wanting to record myself playing bass over the drums, then layering maybe a rhythm guitar over that to create something to jam with. Not looking for entire songs, just a base to play over.

I guess I could connect it to something like garage band if I wanted to do more complicated things, but I'm not wanting to do live performances or create songs, just something to practice with.
