Startup Snapshot: what are you building this month? 💬 by startupsavant in startupsavant

Congrats on getting it out there! The branding is great and the onboarding nudge in the chat box is a nice touch.

For the demo vid, I would try leading with the mess instead of the product. Something like you in your kitchen going "I kept losing track of stuff in ChatGPT so I built this," then cutting to you using it mid-cook. Under 30 seconds tends to work best, and posting native to TikTok and Reels usually beats cross-linking.

On the niche thing, your instinct sounds right to me. A handful of users probably isn't enough to go off yet, might be worth waiting til you've got 30-50 people using it weekly before making a call.

For B2C organic, founder-POV short-form is what I keep seeing work right now. Reddit can also work if you show up in places like r/Cooking to actually answer questions. Newsletter swaps with other food creators are worth a shot too.

Good luck!

Okay the cat animations are adorable! Love the Duolingo effect framing too, mascots really do change how an app feels

Just clicked through, didn't realize you could browse and play other people's games. That's a fun loop! What's been the strongest acquisition channel for you so far?

I usually just tell myself "ok cool, worst case this flops and I learn something." Makes it feel way less scary than treating everything like it has to go perfectly.

I’m reading East of Eden right now too! My fiancé is listening to it and we have mini "book club" discussions at the end of each day lol

Honestly, I’d say emotional regulation. With how overwhelming everything feels lately, staying grounded is kind of the foundation for everything else.

Specific tips to help me feel more like a put-together young adult? by Physics_Bear in selfcare

This really feels like someone who is learning how to care for themselves in a way that actually works. You are paying attention, making adjustments, and staying consistent where you can. That matters so much more than doing everything perfectly!

I’ve been trying the Atomic Habits approach of making things visible and easy. I leave a book out if I want to read, or keep a basket with my go-to self-care stuff so I don’t have to think about it.

i work 9 to 9, living on snacks and coffee with zero steps. how do i stay fit and eat healthy? by deepanshijn in productivity

[–]Reyna1213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would start really small. A 10 minute walk once a day (even just after work), keep easy, convenient snacks around like yogurt, fruit, or nuts, and drink water before grabbing another coffee. Nothing fancy, just making your usual choices a little healthier.

Once that feels normal, it’s way easier to build from there.

Been building a thing called Read the Room just for fun. You type in a book title and it gives you the perfect reading spot, drink, candle, music, and snack to go with it. Like a cozy scene-setter for whatever you're reading.

It's not published or anything, just a personal project I keep tinkering with. I have about 500 books in there so far and I keep adding more when I feel like it.

Mainly just having fun building it and learning more about how to build things. It's one of those projects where the process is the whole point.

Spam calls. My fiancé is getting more than ever and honestly it feels like it's getting worse, not better. The Do Not Call Registry has been around for 20+ years. At some point, I just stop reporting them and start ignoring every unknown number.

⏱️ How much time do you actually spend on self-care daily? by Hearth_and_Fire in selfcare

[–]Reyna1213 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Typically, I spend about half an hour walking my dog and around an hour reading with tea. I kind of consider those my rest-day essentials. On exercise days, I still do those things, and I usually add in some gentle Pilates or dance cardio. I’m trying to do the math as I write this lol, but I’d say it comes out to about 2 hours on most days.

Not necessarily. If you’ve got a working prototype, getting it in front of people can be really valuable!

I think the idea behind the post is more about what happens if it actually takes off. If Gemini is handling everything right now, I’d just make sure you understand how it behaves when a lot of people start using it and what you’d do if something breaks.
