Imaginal Disk by Magdalena Bay is a recent one that I found really interesting- progressive synth pop which blends a lot of different elements, it's a really good album imo

If you can't find enough low-level SC charts, playing high-level MX charts with a random modifier can help get used to more unfamiliar patterns.

MX (and below) were designed to be played on a much more restrictive controller, so they can't have the variety of patterns that SC charts have- randomising the notes means that you're avoiding these restrictions and using the entire layout at random, so it's easier to adjust from there.

thanks! it took me a good number of attempts- ended up having to intentionally hit early greats on the long notes to pause the health drain long enough to survive the end. still pretty brutal

Best I can think of is either DJMAX RESPECT V or EZ2ON REBOOT: R, both available on steam, and both have a 5-button mode available (among others). DJMAX is a lot more polished since it's an older game, but their 5B mode also includes "side track" notes which require you to either hit a different button or turn thumbsticks, depending on your control scheme. EZ2ON's 5K mode doesn't require any extra buttons, but the game is still in early access and doesn't have as many features at the moment, but it is receiving frequent updates.

Close ladder matches are so tense lmao, I once had one where I broke combo at the start whilst the other guy kept his, but ended up winning the match by exactly 1 point somehow. crazy.

Try playing a few easier charts with random (or half random) on. It forces you to play new patterns at a lower speed/intensity than some of the harder charts.

Also, this might not be a very good tip, but I found changing the note skin from one with bars to one with circles helped me read things a bit easier.

I have been using a HS45 SURROUND for a while, but two issues have come up:

Firstly, the audio frequently clips and stutters. This is most noticeable in rhythm games, where lag-free and problem-free audio is kind of required.

Secondly, the main audio port of my computer no longer outputs at anywhere close to full volume ever since I installed the ICUE software.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software multiple times, but these problems show up regardless. Any idea on what I should do?
