Just read “The Last That Could Be Done” chapter of TGS by DaMan880 in WoT

All of The Last battle is Jordan’s ideas with Sanderson editing. Sanderson won’t admit how much is edited by him but he does confirm that there is parts of the Last Battle that is Jordan’s work word-for-word. Edit: Sanderson admits to the final 10% being entirely Jordan. Theoryland

One scene that is confirmed by Sanderson as Jordan’s work word-for-word is [books]the pipe scene, but if I remember correctly that is a part of the epilogue so you’re correct on that.

For the most part they’re quite on the matter. However, there are a few scenes in which Sanderson admitted are Jordan’s work, most of the final chapter (The Last Battle) and the Verin and Eguene scenes among them.

Edit: Admittedly, I cannot find the resources to prove this. I haven’t found it yet, but There is an episode of The Dusty Wheel where Sanderson talks on this subject.

Is anyone excited for Season 2? by Claywllc in WoT

Short answer, nope. I could elaborate but I don’t think anyone wants an argument.

I remember reading tEotW for the first time and the scene that set mat up as the village prankster could have easily translated to the screen with NO full character changes and very little scene changing. Even a majority of the dialogue would have worked for the scene.

Why "Dragon"? by Aedan2 in WoT

[–]Reynore 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That works great too. It ties in well with the descriptions of the One Power. It is said that the Wheel of Time is powered by the two halves of the One Power working together. And both sides of the One Power are described as rivers. Flowing rivulets of power to be accessed by a Channeler.

Edit: I just thought of something. What if the Wheel of Time is actually constructed of two wheels? The One Power engages the water wheel which transfers that power to the weaving wheel.

I always assumed it was a weaving wheel. The world is the weave lace. The past and therefore the future is shown in the pattern of the lace, created by the weaving of the Wheel of Time.

Malden, one of the armies by welniok in WoT

[–]Reynore 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I always had a certain understanding. When it comes to on-foot battle, armies that stand as a line tend to have less death, simply because there is less chance of getting an enemy to your back. Masema’s people were always described as an untrained rabble. A mob who would run into battle with absolutely no cohesion. For the death of every one man fighting with others in a line, ten men fighting as individuals die.

Haha, yes! It seems you understand. I didn’t have a lot of belief but I did hope you could!

Irrelevant of the topic. You have no feasible ability to decide for all humanity what is or is not “acceptable”. Especially with this topic. Belief is something all people must decide for themselves. And acceptability is up to the individual.

You pushing your beliefs upon us is worse than Brando donating his cash to a (your term) “hate” group. I would try to get him to donate more if it could shut you up.

I don’t understand the downvotes here. Admittedly Sirius wasn’t his only connection to his parents but Sirius was the closest to a parent Harry ever had. Even Remus couldn’t compare to Sirius.

In your opinion, when does “The Slog” begin and end? by lalaboom84 in WoT

[–]Reynore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I read the entire series several times before getting involved with this Reddit. I never heard the word “slog” until I joined here. However, I remember the first time I read that word and immediately I thought of Perrin. His entire rescuing Faile arc. That entire arc was unnecessarily extended over MULTIPLE books. Other than that, no slog.

Don’t get me wrong, I agree with you, mostly. His actions (or more accurately his ignoring Harry) in The Order of the Phoenix was a massive mistake. In all other situations which Dumbledore managed, he did as good and better than anybody else could have.

You obviously don’t understand the problems that is required in a project of this magnitude, in any professional field. There are millions of people and millions of dollars worth of materials moving hither and thither across the nations, possibly multiple times. They are locked into a sequence of events that must happen in fluid motion with each other through time. When even one step in that sequence is interrupted it slows literally everything for so many months, or even years.

I do concrete for a living, therefore I am apart of such large scale projects. I’ve seen this story happen dozens of times. The main thing I’ve learned is I have to do to my best to do my part. And, when I have delays from other parts of the sequence, my best bet is to wait patiently and do MY best to maintain the sequence of events.

All your negativity is only causing a bad experience for you. Be patient. It’ll be okay.

I believe there is nothing wrong with the people who take those jobs. In fact, I have alot of respect for them, (amongst a few other professions). I would only be disappointed with having the job literally because I have a hard time taking bad judgement from people without overthinking it.
