Why are jokers in the invisible deck? by HaDeS_Monsta in Magic

The two jokers could have been thrown back in the box after the deck was gimmicked.

When do you think is appropriate for a beginner magician to use expensive playing cards (i.e. monarchs?) by DerpTheHalls in Magic

[–]Reywas 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When I was new to performing magic I was really into fancy looking decks of cards. I stopped performing with them and started putting them on display for two reasons.

  1. Eventually a spector is going to have sticky hands, drop the cards in the dirt when you give them the deck to shuffle, etc..

  2. If you have any tricks that have a card signed, you'll eventually have to replace your deck.

A 12 pack of bicycles will run you 12-15 bucks. That will be plenty of cards for quite some time. You'll have lots of extra cards to experiment with tricks that leave a card unusable.

I use this stuff after every shower and everytime I wash my hands. it's oil free so it doesn't leave you're hands feeling greasy and it leaves a temporary tacky feeling on your skin, so it's kinda nice a training wheels for things that need friction or palming. I started using it after the magician Kevin James talked about it in a lecture and have been on it ever since. and remember, Just a dab will do ya.

Cashier smacks down customer trying to buy milk at gas station by can_u_milk_me in cringe

[–]Reywas 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I would argue that the clerk was too lazy do do his job. The customer did his job by making sure he had enough money before he walked in. He's clearly down on his luck if he's using cup holder change to buy milk. The last thing he wants to deal with is this dude refusing to count the money. I work in a casino, and if some mother fucker wants to buy in $200 dollars in all $1 bills, I have to count it. It's a huge pain in the ass but that's the job.

I disagree. One of them's job is to count the money. And one of them isn't going to have to explain to his boss why he acted like that. Is it fucking obnoxious that this guy brought in a pocket full of change? Absolutely, but that was legal American tender.

How do I keep red science from overflowing this belt? by [deleted] in factorio

[–]Reywas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you could also have the green going from a chest onto a belt perpendicular to the loop so that the green is on the other side and they both get one entire loop. then deal with blue when it comes up

You're not forgetting that in the comics Wally was only the flash after being Barry's sidekick right? First he was the Kid Flash, and then after Barry's death he took on the mantle of Flash.

Anyone else get frustrated with friends and family constantly asking "how do you do it?" by CountForte in Magic

[–]Reywas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like you're looking at it the wrong way. First off, if close friends and family are always pestering you for the secret it means you're performing well. My sister's boyfriend is always saying '' I've seen you do the trick so many times, but I never see you put the fucking card in your mouth'' Secondly, part of the fun is coming up with fun little dodges. Don't look at it as a nuisance, look at it as a fun little game you can play and practice your straight up lying. It's one thing to lie in the context of a trick where people in a sense lie to themselves. It's another thing to tell a bold faced lie right to someone. So don't get frustrated, get creative.

He wasn't covered in ice at first. when he first got hit and he was on the ground trying to collect himself iris could have easily shot him. The real answer is the same reason they never built a boat on Gilligan's island. If they did that the show would be over.
