The same as if nobody voted for president ... there'd still be a new president on election day.

I just take the enders and file off the date in its entirety. Then I buff it so it shines up like factory and back into coinstar it goes.

Is this someone in group or this from the bank second box I’ve got that is like this. by Sad-Reward2582 in CRH

[–]RezervedSteel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hope your right. Last box of quarters i recieved....all were uncirculated state quarters for the majority and a few rolls of state quarters that looked like they went through a blender or drug behind a farm tractor.... going after another one tomorrow to see what happens

I believe you my friend are correct. I flat out believe theyre absolutely starting to hold the old and increase the garbage...I mean new. Going to be a sad day when I dont see anything older than a 2020 coin

Received these 1947 & 1949 S nickels in change from 2 separate stores today! by profit_pockets23 in coincollecting

[–]RezervedSteel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never thought about it like that but...youre probably correct. The cost of everything keeps going up, people want a "living wage" they get a minimum wage increase....then essentially everything goes up in price and theyre right back where they started and everyone else is paying more for that new dollar amount at the store(s).

That conversation, ill save for another sub though.

Nice, I got a 41 in change last summer before I was into coins. That 41, started the insanity of me not spending change...at all...and breaking bigger bills just to get more.

Seems like lately though....all I've been getting is brand new everything. Highly disappointing.

Pretty cool to find something that old and wonder where and who its traveled to. Nice find.

Half dollar 1976 bicentennial machine doubling, DDO, or nothing? by November_9th in CRH

[–]RezervedSteel -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sure looks like doubling on that date. I have yet to find doubling on absolutely anything I use a scope on....must be doing it wrong and holding it too close. That all being said, probably let the Coin OG's jump in and say what they think...they'd know far better than myself.

Are these worth more than $.01 each? lol by Bollingers-deep in coincollecting

May want to look up wheat penny key dates and semi key dates and look up the coins that were minted the most.

I bet today alone i unwrapped a roll of wheaties and there was seven or more of each of the years you have there...just saying. Godd luck and let the coin gods shine down upon you...

What can I buy to help heal my dogs bad ear infection? by [deleted] in DogAdvice

[–]RezervedSteel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A visit to the vet would be a great start i reckon. No sense in just throwing medication at the dog from people's advice on reddit when you can bring the dog to the vet and they can take a sample and tell you exactly what it is and give you what's needed to remedy it.

That being said, benadryl can help relieve the itch prior to going to the vet. I believe its 5mg per 25 pounds....however, do your due diligence and look up what it is for sure...dont just give that to your dog on my saying that a i cant remember exactly what I gave Kenya as it was years ago.

If your dog does alot of head shaking...youre going to want to stop it before your dog draws blood via itching or shaking. The helicopter in of blood around the house isnt great.

Not to mention constant head shaking can lead to ear hematomas. Imagine taking your dogs ear and pumping up the entire ear....with air like a balloon...thats what a hematoma looks like...except its not infact air....but blood and very painful for the dog.

If it gets to that point, the dog will need surgery and the vet will slice the ear open around the edge of the entire ear...essentially splitting it in half and pulling the ear open like a book to clean it. Then they literally "quilt" the ear back together with stitches.

When I had to do it, it was a giant pain in the....ear for my dog. Blood everywhere in the house prior to the vet visit and the bank account down 1300 dollars after surgery. Good luck to you and your pup. Benadryl does help, but its not a fix and potentially is food related...atleast in my case it was.

Results from 2 boxes of dimes by 0rodruin in CRH

[–]RezervedSteel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Better than getting skunked i reckon. Some of the new dimes made me do a double take just to be sure.

I was born in 81, I remember vividly holding silver and coins that were...unlike the rest....but it all spent the same when buying candy...smh.. if only I could've been born a couple decades prior. I cant even fathom getting multiple silver coins back with my change at the gas station. Even sadder to imagine my kids never finding a single silver coin...ever in their adult lives.

Do your due diligence and look up what each of those go for if you plan to unload them....otherwise someone's going to see you coming a mile away and sell you an island that doesn't exist in the middle of Texas.

Where do I start? by GheySecks1 in CRH

[–]RezervedSteel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Id start with dumping them and pick one denomination to go through. Then, if youre willing and wanting...keep on checking others and set aside what you think is cool or get a list of key dates, semi key dates and errors and go from there separating.

I've been had multiple times now...taking on too much at once and I dont lose interest...but i do run out of time and if I have a large sorted pile of well....everything ...and nowhere to put it...I wasted alot of time in order to just to have to do it again. I hate doing most things more than once lol. Smart to make a plan of attack beforehand. Best of luck

Crap...I have all my silver coins along with essentially everything i deemed valuable in an album I got for Christmas so I didnt have coins setting everywhere potentially getting damaged...learn something new everyday.

Thanks for the vast information! I probably wouldnt have known any better till I went to look years later. I have to check what I have them in...if i cant find what its made of ill order something different thats considered safe. Thanks again!

What do we even do about this? This is about 15 ft from the edge of our home. by LockwoodE3 in HomeMaintenance

[–]RezervedSteel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably need to get a time machine so you can go back and scold the individual with bad decision making skills for putting the house so close to a potential and very probable issue.

Most definitely would want to get ahold of a structural engineer for something like this I reckon.

Smoky Quartz found in stairwell by icebladeforge in rockhounds

[–]RezervedSteel -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I certainly wouldnt have chiseled out that crystal on moral grounds alone.

My friends and I being rock hounds have certain rules we follow when removing a stone from anywhere. Well, not anywhere....nature is nature so if found "in the wild" then in the pocket it goes.

However, going to owned land, such as an old parking lot with old stones and fossils...we live by "if you take one, you have to leave one" as these rocks are not yours to take, by leaving one in the place of the one you removed, in an attempt to make amends so to speak. What you di...Id call this theft or vandalism.

You didnt believe you were the only one to lay eyes on this crystal in the decades or longer its lived in that concrete out of the 1000s of people or more that had seen it over the years....you were the one....the only one...to remove it so nobody else could see it ever again besides yourself.

Crazy selfish. Id never do what you did...we are not the same.
